Early Voting - When and Where:
For early voting you may vote at any of the early voting sites in your county. For a full list of times and locations for early voting across North Carolina click here.

Primary Election Day - When and Where:
Didn't make it to early voting? No problem. Primary election day voting is Tuesday May 8th from 6:30am to 7:30pm. To find your precinct location enter your information here and then look for where it says my polling location.

Turn out the Wolfpack vote!
You can vote in this primary regardless of party, or even if you're unaffiliated. Here's a map of the Wake County early voting sites. Anyone can vote on the amendment as well. More discussion of it can be found here.

The 11th Annual TWW Easter Egg Hunt!!!

It's time for the 11th Annual TWW Easter Egg Hunt! The contest will start on Wednesday April 11 at 5:00 PM and will end on Thursday April 12 at 5:00 PM. The winner will receive a full year’s premium subscription!

Here’s how the contest works:

The egg engine loads eggs into the system and assigns each egg to a random user in the "Who's Online" list of users online. Once an egg is assigned, it will stay in the system until : 1) The user loads a page on TWW or 2) 20 minutes go by. If a user loads the page, the egg will appear somewhere on the page. It will only appear on the first page loaded, so if you miss it, too bad!

Do not keep reloading the page. You will have 20 minutes to find the egg once it is assigned to you. It will be more beneficial to slowly scan each page rather than quickly refreshing. There are multiple eggs in the system at once, and it is even possible to have all eggs in the system assigned to a single user at the same time. Not loading an egg will not prevent other eggs in the system from being assigned to you. The best way to increase your odds of winning is to stay on TWW all day!

Remember, no posting of pictures of eggs on the site to fool other users---anyone who does so before the completion of the contest will be suspended.

It has recently become increasingly clear to me that I no longer have the capacity to adequately fulfill my obligations and responsibilities to this community. And with the imminent birth of my third child it seems in the best interest of everyone that I step down from my duties and make way for a new generation of TWW leadership. Defeat Amendment 1 march starting at the Belltower 3/15/12 at 11am

NCSU's student government said this amendment should be defeated. Raleigh's city council said this amendment should be defeated. The Wake County Libertarian Party said this amendment should be defeated. Even Tea Party Republican Renee Ellmers, who represents part of Wake County and many surrounding areas, said this amendment goes way too far and should be defeated.

On March 15th, at 11am, there will be an anti-amendment march, drawing in folks from across the state. It will start from NCSU's belltower and proceed to the Halifax Mall open grounds area, by the General Assembly. It will be immediately followed by a rally ending by 2pm. You can learn more about the amendment here. You can RSVP on facebook for the march here. Or just show up at the Belltower on the 15th at 11am.

Just added: The Vote Against Project will be doing their photo shoot in Raleigh after the march!

Protest Internet Censorship

Today many websites and companies are protesting the recent proposed legislation (SOPA and PIPA) allegedly designed to combat online piracy. Many have pointed out that these laws would not only be ineffective, but would ultimately require many websites to monitor and censor their users, or risk being permanently shut down at the government's discretion. Furthermore, it continues a pattern of behavior by our government - our representatives - to maintain control over the internet as a whole for dubious purposes, and which has already been abused.

As a place that has always valued the importance of freedom of speech, and whose existence could be threatened if this legislation (or the inevitable similar but renamed and rebranded legislation) is enacted, TWW has joined this protest.

End of the Semester Santa Hike on Hillsborough

Looking for a great way to ring in the holiday season and celebrate the end of fall semester?! well, THROW ON YOUR SANTA HATS AND JOIN US ON HILLSBOROUGH STREET FOR AN END OF THE SEMESTER SANTA HIKE! For the first time in Hborough Street history, this end of the semester hike has a theme...CHRISTMAS and COSTUMES!

For all you hikers who have previously participated, brace yourselves, this is going to be one wild hike!! For those who haven't, all the fun takes place at the restaurants and establishments along Hillsborough Street from Oberlin to Rosemary Street!

Prizes
- East Village will be giving away $50, $25 and $10 gift cards to EV as prizes during the hike for best costumes.
- Sadlacks will be giving away $20 and $10 gift cards for best costumes.

I will be performing some server maintenance Friday night around midnight. The site will likely experience extended periods of downtime. I expect this to take 1-2 hours
