^So you went tonight?

Anyway, Donna told me that the reason the schedules come out at the last second is because CASL has the rights to the field and makes their schedule first, but TASL starts before CASL. PLus a lolt of teams once again signed up, but only had about 9 players registered as the deadline neared.

Oh and Raleigh Revolution (Open C) is the leftovers from Raleigh FC mixed with the player pool. Oceans 14 (Open B) is pretty much the rest of Raleigh FC. And Cary Gunners chose to return to Open C because they had 5 players quit.

We're looking for an experienced keeper if anyone is down. Our regular gk wants to move to defender. We have a large squad so its not a numbers thing. PM if interested.

^redirish is a GK. He played in Coed D last season. Have you tried the pool? The guy near the top of the Men's Open list named Craig is listed as a GK. He is pretty good. He played on my men's team when we first started. He is now the backup GK on my Coed Over 30 team. The only time we ever won last season was when he played in the goal. Our starter isn't that good, but he only wants to be a GK, so we are stuck with him.

actually the pub was really good to us this season and are awesome. when we play any tww guys, here is my open invite for a pint at the pub on me after the game, just let me know before the match.

always go to the cary hibernian if you get a chance, great place to watch soccer and hang out regardless

I would buy something nicer, but I have too many people quit and join each season. Every season so far at least one player has joined the team, had me buy their shirt for them, and then never show up for a single game. It sucks bad enough when I waste money doing that, so I don't want to buy more expensive stuff. My Coed Over 30 team started out with nice orange Adidas jerseys with a white stripe, but now since they added me and a lot of other people through the years, we now have multiple shades of orange and some of us look like we are wearing red. That isn't good when we play J Fire, or Arsenal.

Find a sponsor have them buy the shirts. i keep all the shirts, after every game everyone puts their shirts back into the bag and i take them home wash them and bring them back each week. that way the pub gets to "keep" their jerseys and everyone who shows up looks the same.

or if you spend the money you can keep the shirts and use them for multiple teams. i have a set of jerseys for other teams and players use them each game then trhow them back in the bag each week.

^That is for the CASL teams that were scheduled to play youth league on some of the other WRAL fields. TASL rents fields from CASL, so those messages are for both leagues. It is the CASL weather hotline that you called.

Ugly 2-1 win, but we'll take it. soc33com was fouled in the box and sprained his ankle, but we scored the PK. Then we had a handball in the box and they bounced the PK off the cross bar and our keeper stood up and grabbed it. Then they scored on a corner in the second half and we won on a late PK after a handball.

The rest of you should be glad you didn't play today. The strong winds sucked and kept teams from really getting in the flow of the game. We probably would have scored a live action goal when my forward chipped the GK, but the wind slowed the ball down enough that a defender was able to clear the ball off the line.

Fuquay Soccer Registration is Open

http://fvadultsports.org/

For those of you who couldn't get on a TASL team, this league will be starting up in March. It will only cost $70 for ten games of 11 vs 11 with two 35 minute halves. Last season we had 6 teams of about 16 players at most. You have to have one female, or male over 50 on the field at all times. They would let you stay and play in the other games, if a team was short handed too. We played on Sunday afternoons. Then we would go drink beer at Aviator Brewery sometimes.

Sporting Raleigh 1
FC Rubbish-0

Terrible call cost Rubbish a 0-0 tie. Big4Country flopped in the box and drew a pk in the 90th minute. He hit the bar on the pk but was allowed to head it back in.

Terrible way to end it.

Not to be mean, but it was 10-0 right? I think my slop shot made it 7-0, or 8-0 and then we scored once or twice after that again. I really wish we could play more teams like you every week, just so we could avoid all of the jackasses that like to try to pick fights and bitch at the ref instead of play rec soccer. GOOD LUCK FOR THE REST OF YOUR SEASON!

Oh and soc33com, please come next week! We need you for TWW Super Clasico vs Hibernian!

Hopefully it doesn't rain again, even though there is a chance on Friday and Saturday.

^He called me this morning and said something about how he will be in the Triangle Twon Center area today, if I want to meet him. I should probably tell him to just drop them off at TASL.

^^Next week we play you guys at Preston Woods and there is a chance of rain on Friday and Saturday. I am guessing you guys will get your 4th rainout in a row since our last game of last season was rained out and not made up. those fields love to hold water.

if you join a team half way through the season its half off so logically if you have 5 games that rain out you should get half of your money back. but i doubt that will be the case. i'm sure tasl has some clause when you registered that already says they can't control weather conditions, etc...

Good players know when to flop? Also good awareness on his part to chase after that rebound

^TASL used to reimburse a team for games that weren't played when the captain has to pay the $950 up front and then have his players pay him back, but once they switched to the $110, $85, $10, $10... system then they said they no longer reimburse players for games not played. All of this is written on the site somewhere.

They reschedule games as best they can. So you may end up extending the season or playing back to back on Saturday/sunday.

that would be nice. if we got you even at half speed we would definitely win some games. our first game we were missing a couple girls, but if we had even numbers and you on the field we probably wouldve won like 10-0. they had like 1 guy on the field who really seemed like he knew what he was doing.

we just played the biggest group of assholes today and wanted to know if anyone else played them. i know d7freestyle and kiljadn have played them (pigeon stacks). their goalie started talking shit after we scored and after the game said "if you shit goals didn't count we would have won 3-2" instead we won... just wanted to know if anyone else has dealt with these clowns?

Yeah I know. I'm just excited about Saturday. It will be a good test for both teams, if everyone shows up, and if it doesn't rain. You guys still have Mark and Robbin up top?

Yeah, it must suck to play for Hibernian right now. We all had our last game rained out last season and then you guys have had your first two rained out this season. My team is the only team that hasn't had a game called off this season and you guys are the only team that hasn't gotten to play yet.

Yeah, I think we had a couple of issues with them.

What was funniest to me was that the guys mouthing off on their team were the same guys who were doing absolutely nothing but cutting inside on the same foot and rocketing the ball into the netting 10' above the goal.

I'm really impressed that you can kick hard, guy.
