Looks like Jose Enrique is on his way out of Newcastle too, going to Liverpool for £8M. They are falling apart, seems like lots of players have issues with Ashely; Barton & Jose Enrique are the only 2 that have spoken up publicly it appears. Wouldn't be surprised to see them finishing way down in the table unless Pardew can somehow pull what's left of the team together and maybe bring in some new talent during the winter transfer window.

So last year was the first year that I followed the Premier League, didn't have a club, just took it in and decided I would get behind a club this year. It came down to Arsenal and Liverpool. Initially I was thinking Arsenal, but they are just way too dysfunctional. Really started to watch Liverpool after they got Andy Carroll and like a lot of players on their team.

So I have decided to go with Liverpool. I am going to predict them to finish 4th this season.

Should have picked Arsenal. The disfunction makes you a lot less guilty about being a foreigner latching onto an English team. Anyway, I've been hesitant to make a prediction waiting for transfer resolutions, but since that appears to never be coming I'll go ahead and optimistically say Arsenal finishes 4th. :-/

got a coworker who lives and works right in the thick of this shit - said some of his mates had been sent home early because their companies were worried about the offices being attacked. Heard some of the PMs a row over also mention that people they were talking to (in another building) were being sent home as well.



I don't see any games happening this weekend, unfortunately, not at this rate. Riots in London, Liverpool, Birmingham, Salford (Manchester), Wolverhampton, West Brom, and who knows where else soon enough. The police cant keep up, and the shit is just spreading. Quite scary, actually.
