Bernadeau to Dallas... but it seems that most of you were pretty "meh" about him on page 1

So the NFC South is now like the ex-charger league.

Jason Brown is visiting. He made the Pro Bowl few years ago. Would be an upgrade over Wharton.

Brown is a NC native ... he actually played at Chapel Hill. Can only help our chances.

Gary Barnidge balled out in training camp last year before he got hurt, he should be fine paired with Olsen

apparently it's all bogus and now there is a huge twitter war between Shockey and Amani Toomer. basically Toomer called him a bad teammate and Shockey called him lazy and the reason he broke his leg that one season. it went back and forth before Shockey brought up Toomer's wife divorcing him and Toomer urinating on her clothes for revenge.

Best case is we find a take for Williams contract (LOL). Realistic case is we trade Stewart for a first or second. No way we go into the season with Tolbert and both those guys on the roster.

Tolbert will probably be just a fullback.

I doubt it, we already got Richie Brock and our offense doesn't utilize the fullback that often. Unless we're planning to run some Georgia Tech shit, one of these guys has to go.

Wasn't Brockel a FA also?

Anyway, in 2006 the Chargers had LT (MVP season), Michael Turner, Sproles, and Lorenzo Neal in the backfield.

Brockel was tendered an exclusive-rights free agent by the Panthers, so he'll be back.

i think the multiple RBs speaks directly to how healthy we expect we can keep our line. these backs are gonna be taking hit after hit. i dont have a problem with it.

Tolbert is a terrible fullback. He's a running back, through and through.

This move is confusing with Stewart and Williams both under contact.

It makes perfect sense if we are getting ready to trade Stewart or Williams. I really like Stewart so I hope they dump Deangelo.

Plus he is just gonna get hurt again.

Williams hasnt played hard since he got his contract extension. He is basically doing what LT did to the chargers. Trade his ass

Trade his ass to who? Who besides Marty Hurney would want to pay a 29 year old running back 35 million dollars?

it'd be funny if a cornerback or safety were trying to injure Cam, and Cam just ran over them and injured them

So it atlanta now the favorite in the divison? Then carolina and saints for second?

We will see how much a difference a head coach makes.

Atlanta is probably the favorite as of right now on paper, the Saints are also without their linebackers coach for the first 6 or 8 games, can't remember which, and still might have some players who get fines/suspensions

Saints are still the fave until someone takes it from them. They still have the best personnel. The Falcons are still number two, but Ryan really has to take "The Leap" this year or people will wonder if he ever will. We're a close 3rd, followed by Tampa. Its going to be a tightly contested division, IMO. We're going to beat up on each other a lot. No 14-2 teams outta the South.

its still the Saints' division and they're still the champions until someone beats them, but I think all this shit hitting the fan today made ATL the favorite to win the South this season

Quote :
"When the Panthers released Travelle Wharton to save room under the salary cap, they opened up a starting spot on their offensive line.

It could be filled by Mike Pollak. The team announced Thursday that they have signed the former Colts guard to a one-year contract. Pollak started 41 of 58 games for the Colts since joining the team as a second-round pick in 2008. He was more successful as a pass blocker than a run blocker while with Indianapolis, but not good enough to stop others from taking his job in two of the last three seasons.

The Panthers previously re-signed Geoff Hangartner, who started at right guard last season. Between Hangartner, Pollak and Garry Williams, the Panthers should find their starting guards, unless, of course, the draft brings another option.

The team also announced the signing of linebacker Kenny Onatolu. Onatolu has been a special teams stalwart for the Vikings and is expected to play a similar role with the Panthers next season."
