3-on-3 Basketball Tournament November 13th!

The Wolfpack Student Initiative (WSI) Scholarship Endowment for students with unmet financial need is proud to announce their first annual 3-on-3 basketball tournament. The tournament is in conjunction with the Chi Omega tournament and is co-sponsored by Carmichael Gymnasium. The tournament will take place Saturday, November 13 starting at 10am. Grand prize is $200 prizes will also be awarded to teams coming in 2nd and 3rd and lunch will be provided. Entry fee is $30 per team ($45 day of)
and each team can have up to 4 people on it. The tournament will be held inside so you must have a valid NCSU ID to play (student, faculty or staff). To register or if you

I think the idea is great for helping out a really needy student.

I have a question though, what happens if the financial aid office doesn't accurately determine a student's need? Do you take that into consideration?

Perlith- That's a really great question and I appreciate that you actually looked into WSI and what we are doing. I have honestly never considered that the Office of Financial Aid may not accurately assess need. Is there a particular issue you know of within their office that I can look into? I will ask our advisor in the Office of Gift Planning about this and talk to OSFA to find out more about it. Thanks for bringing that to our attention and if you have any more comments or suggestions please let me know. Thanks!
