FILMED EVENT at the LONGBRANCH on Thursday!!!

submitted by dlwright85 on Sunday, November 28 at 6:56 PM

Band Together for the Cure will be a filmed for reality TV event to benefit The Leukemia & Lymphomia Society on Thursday Dec. 2 at the Longbranch Entertainment Complex. This live music event will have eleven bands and performers for only $10 per person. Every penny from the $10 ticket goes directly back to The Leukemia & Lymphomia Society, the Longbranch has donated the facility and all of the bands/performers have donated their time!

With your help we will raise over $30,000 in this one night. It costs one dollar ($1) per second to research a cure for these diseases. Leukemia is the number one killer of children under the age of 15 and Lymphomia is the leading blood cancer for men under the age of 39!

We need to sell 3000 tickets for this event by noon Wednesday, Dec.1 and all the help from great organizations will only make this an even better event.

they're only going to get 8.33 hours worth of research out of the $30,000? daaaaamn. that sucks.

i should pursue a career path as a scientific researcher. i'd be blingin'!

"> Free Tickets Available for December 2: Battle of the Bands
On Thursday, December 2 at 8:00pm, Paul Carpenter, John Hubacheck, Russell Tiller and Glen Smith, will be performing at the Long Branch Entertainment Complex. Their band, CAGE, has been selected to participate in the “Battle of the Bands” as one of the top five rock and roll bands in the Triangle area. CAGE will perform one 45 minute set starting at 8:15 on the Top 40/Rock and Roll side of the complex, so be there early to catch the band.

Thirty tickets are available on a first-come, first-serve basis, sponsored by Sony Ericsson. Contact Paul Carpenter (x26882) today if you are interested. Wear Sony Ericsson apparel, and come out and support your fellow SE colleagues. You just may be filmed for FOX-TV. The concert is part of a local reality TV show called the ENTREPRENEUR$ (http://www.realseriousbusiness.com) which will be filming the event. Concert proceeds will be donated to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Eastern North Carolina. "
