any girls left on this site?

I need some concealer but I have very pale skin. I tried kat von d lock it with the matching foundation recently... and it's just way too full-coverage for me... not to mention, I broke out. I don't have the patience or desire to spend 45 mins 'sculpting' my face after putting it on so that i look like a normal human, and the concealer isn't so great on its own, so this one is going back... I've also tried the urban decay 24|7 concealer sticks; one shade is too dark and one shade is too light. meh. what's your favorite blemish concealer?

for both blemish and undereye (I've never really invested much into distinctive ones) I have always loved Bobbi Brown's creamy concealer kit. The concealer itself is awesome, and the fact that it's coupled with the setting powder is just awesome. Very portable.

Am I just really old school to suggest clinique? I love their concealer. However, I haven't used concealer (or any makeup at all, really) since I used this face cleaner I got from Rodan and Fields.

I'm a sucker for the fun products. So obviously I use and love Benefit's Boi-ing concealer. Just typing the name is embarrassing though.

Still, it works for me, and you have good skin so I dunno...it seems to me you could use anything light and just blend it in to your skin. Then you're very good to go with nothing else if you don't feel like it.

Bridget-

I love benefit stuff too! Their products are really fun- I agree. Every now and then, though, their stuff seems really heavy to me. I love their blush, moisturizer, lip stuff, and that pink stuff that, like, makes you glow (lol)....but then one day in my life journey I met this chick that worked the counter there. She said their stuff is like REALLY bad and poor quality. It really made me take a step back and reconsider their stuff. I've never really looked in to it, but have you ever had any problem with their quality? I have no documentation to back it up.

I have a couple of benefit products I like, the Watts up luminizer is good... but it is better in a sample package than what they actually sell.

Benefit is one of the flagship brands of LVMH... yes, one of the cheaper ones. That's the conglomerate that owns Sephora and a lot of their house brands like Makeup Forever, fresh, marc jacobs, Guerlain, Givenchy, Dior (which is actually the parent company, based in France). Lancome and YSL are owned by L'oreal, as well as the Body Shop, and they are also a french company. Clinique, MAC, Smash box, Bobby brown, Aveda, etc, are all held by the american conglomerate Estee Lauder.

I told my husband I just want something to dab on a pimple and have it look like I don't have a pimple, and he laughed and said I don't think they make that yet. AT LEAST NOT FOR ME. but there's a benefit counter in a fancy drugstore nearby, i might give bo-ing a shot.

I use Laura Geller's real deal concealer in Light and i'm pretty fair skinned, but there is a "fair" color as well if you need it

I really like this stuff a little goes a long way I've had the same tube since February and I'm no where near close to empty on it.

I picked this Hourglass stuff up in 'shell', which is supposed to be two shades too dark, but it is kinda sheer, so I think it works well. kinda gives a dewy/shimmer finish though, which works for me, but matte is so in. it works well with the primer of the same brand, and I really like their powders too... I usually just use the powders by themselves and say fuck it, but I got a bird bite on my face I was trying to cover up, which led to the KVD zit fail.

This may be a useless endeavor since I don't even know who's on TWW anymore...but I figured this was a good place to start...

so here's the deal...

I need some help with Halloween makeup...not crazy zombie type stuff...just something really dramatic...

I'm likely going to be a pirate and want a really hot, over the top look...

I lost my makeup artist in a divorce and would like for someone to teach me their ways...

I'm good at regular makeup but just don't have the knack for the more creative type stuff....please just teach me what to do so I can do it myself from now on...

Compensation will be based on the number of men who attempt to sleep with me on Halloween

I was actually thinking of you as I made that post...haha

you're regular makeup is way bolder than mine...and your "over the top" make up is on point...

either way, it always looks good...so I suppose there is hope for me if even you have to get instructions

it was my fear that i'm just missing the good makeup abilities gene

I have had that same fear because nobody ever really taught me anything about makeup, and my typical routine takes like 3 minutes. When you first start looking at tutorials the volume of them can be overwhelming. I've had some big failures too, but I have found that finding tutorials that fit your exact products is the easiest way to go about learning. I do much better following a "Urban Decay Naked gray smoky eye" tutorial than I do a "nighttime smoky eye," for instance. And practice before go time!

if you want like a dramatic evening look, look into contouring, smokey eyes, defining brows, and applying bold lipsticks

there are tricks to all of them that you wouldn't just "know" to do

easyneon is one of my favorites https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCh1ZLwaFzcs1I23cxyG9quA

I also like this girl's channel but she does more cosplay makeup than normal makeup https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCiXoZHFowJUlDVMuRFAwVAw

I will say that primer/concealer before applying helps with eyeshadow

also, if you buy nice high pigmented stuff (i like urban decay) it will last you a LONG time and you don't have to use that much at all.

a blending brush is highly recommended!

I'm thinking of getting teal/blue peekaboo highlights. I was having a "fuck it" day a couple weeks ago and tried to get them done that day, but my salon couldn't get me in. When I called to ask about it the stylist warned me that bright color doesn't last very long. My hair usually takes dye pretty well, but I'm kinda iffy on paying $$ for getting it done at a salon if it's going to fade with a quickness. Any experiences with bright dye or thoughts on how hard that would be to do myself and not have it look terribad?

I would suggest adjusting your scalp to not being shampooed every day prior to spending money on a bright dye job.

it's the shampoo that kills the color. if you can get down to washing your hair 1-2 times a week, your color will last much much longer. also you don't have to wash your hair all the damn time. it's so legit.

it took me a bit of just roughing it out when i did the adjustment but i'm super happy i did it.

also if you just want peekaboo high lights, I can probably do them for you. i used to color my hair blue/pink all the time

*bleaching your hair is bad for it and will not result in good texture. so there is that

I definitely want to avoid bleach if possible.

I generally wash every other day now, sometimes every third day if I haven't gotten too sweaty and don't have anywhere important to go. My hair is super fine though and I am not sure I could ever get down to once a week.

I'll probably hit you up sometime if you don't mind doing it. I should probably wait till after the ball/a wedding Aaron is in in November at this point though.

i'll be honest, if you don't bleach, you are not going to achieve that BRIGHT color look you want. it will look more like a dark wash

only natural very light blondes can get bright colors without bleaching unfortunately

Have any of you ladies tried the birth control implant? Just curious if you liked it, what were your side effects, did you use it for BC or for any other health concerns?
