if it was the guy wearing a white jersey with a collar (not sure if wears the same thing every game), he was a major dipshit.

i think he had dark, curly hair.

J Fire went down in flames tonight and we moved to 2-0-0!

The Usual Jackals 5 J Fire 3

What a great game! We got to play 11 vs 11 tonight on Baker Roofing. We got up 2-0 and then gave up 2. At halftime the score was 2-2. Then we got up 5-2 in the second half and gave up a late one, but held on to win.

Now we just have to hope it doesn't rain on Friday and make the fields too wet for Saturday.

^Yeah I didn't come out fast enough and got burned.

Really though, you guys had a better second string and a team of good players that wanted to kick our ass. I had a team of guys that wanted to show up late and be disorganized. It didn't help that one of my starters was on spring break too. We have one of the weaker benches in the league which will be our downfall in a lot of games. I think we can finish 5-5 though.

^I know you did and I knew they were going to be improved. Hopefully we'll play a little better in the second game. It would be nice if all of TWW teams would have good seasons and some of the other teams would be an epic fail.

We beat Cary Gunners 3-2 tonight.

Scored about a minute in, went down 2-1 and came back to win. Feels good man.

So were they as good as last season though? I know they chickened out and didn't want to move to Open B because they were losing 5 players. I don't see how that is a problem though. Being in Open B, or Open A gives teams a huge recruiting advantage. Most of the players in the pool ignore me, or tell me they aren't interested when I offer them a spot on my team because they want to play at a higher level.

Garden City 1 Sporting Raleigh 0

We had some of our starters missing too!

[rant]I'm pulling for you next weekend Hibernian! The first thing Will said when he walked on the field was "Get me the ball so I can kick Eric's fucking ass." I didn't let them get to me, but they could use a good ass beating by everyone left on their schedule.

Two different players on FC Rubbish (one is a tdubber) also told me last weekend that they got beat 13-0 by Garden City and then Will and Bennie told them, "We wanted to win 25-0 to stay ahead of Eric's team."[/rant]

Outside of a few nice guys, they are by far the most classless team in our league.

They always have been.

But it's good to see you guys were competitive with them. Their goal differential has obviously been inflated by the fact they have already played the 2 worst teams in the league.

^Yeah, because of the current situation the good news is you guys were good enough to beat us 7-3 and we only lost 1-0 to them. That doesn't mean you are going to destroy them next weekend because they have a good team, but from what I seen of your team, you are good enough to hang with them.

Will is an ass clown. I hate that team. I am looking forward to next weekend. We still haven't played together as a whole team, when we come together and begin to gel it's gonna be fun. Sucks you guys lost. We will do our best next weekend.

The worst part was their dad got pissed when Will was standing inside the 6 yard box and shot one over the cross bar. He started yelling at him and they got in an argument. That's where they learned how to be like that. It wasn't Will's fault that we have crappy fields that make the ball bounce funny. They should have scored earlier in the game, but they missed their first shot inside the 6 yard box too when they sent that over the cross bar. Simple passes were bouncing everywhere and it wasn't because the players on both teams had no skills. Davis Drive 4 just sucks.

^Rich is about 32 and Will is probably 28, or 29. There dad goes to every game and cheers very loudly like that. Against Newcastle he was yelling, "COME ON REDS! SHORTER PASSES!"

A lot of guys on their team, both of my teams, and most TASL teams, have their parents, spouse, friends, or relatives show up to watch. All of those people are polite and don't run their mouth at the players though.

We beat Flying Dog 3-0 tonight at WRAL.

We were missing all 3 of our normal forwards so I got the nod and dropped a brace on them bitches.

Our third goal was a really nice diving header too. Not me, but a great team goal. So far, so good this year.

So how good is Flying Dog? We've always matched up pretty well against them, but just can't ever get enough goals to win. We get Cary Gunners next weekend and my GK just told me he may be out.

They are pretty good. Seems they have always been a solid defensive team, and that's still pretty true. They have a solid back line but are pretty predictable up front. They run everything through their center mid #11, the guy's a beast, big, fast and pretty good. They don't have much offensive fire power though although they picked up a forward from our team last year.

^Who did they pick up from you guys? I hope he isn't too good.

This week just sucked. The Usual Jackals got down 2-0 and then tied Absolute Mustard up at 2-2, only to give up two late goals and lose 4-2 on Thursday. Then Sporting Raleigh gave up a second half goal to lose 1-0 to Garden City!

This next week my teams get Muttonheads and Cary Gunners.

Does anyone know a female player age 27+ in age who wants to play Coed Over 30 on Thursday nights? After tomorrow it will be half price. I've had 3, or 4 different women tell me they wanted to play and then changed their mind for some reason.

^Coed Over 30 is really tuff to find women for because of the age restrictions. The league is sort of laid back about the age restrictions, but it is still tuff. I know a lot of women who played soccer that are late 20s/early 30s. Most of them just had babies and don't have time to go anywhere, or do anything. The open age coed divisions don't have it so bad since those teams can sign any college girl who is 18+ in age.

Anyway, I am so excited. The Usual Jackals 6 Wake Forest United 1

It looks like we will be finishing 7-3-0, if things keep going the way they are. We already lost to Absolute Mustard and Muttonheads. The only non-winnable game left is Arsenal.

Sporting 2 Newcastle 2

If we can win 3+ games out of our last 5 then we will finish with a winning record. That looks kind of doable too, if Cary Gunners plays like they did today. I saw the first 15 minutes of their game and they didn't look great.

We beat them 2-1 in our first game by scoring 2 PKs. They scored on a corner kick. They played yesterday, but I have no clue who won. The last time the standings were updated they were listed at 0-3-0. They aren't quite as good as my team.

On a side note, I'm pumped about today! The Fuquay adult coed league starts. You only have to have 1 girl on the field, so it is pretty much a men's C league. The FVAA said they weren't going to run adult sports anymore, so the people in charge of the league got a late start on getting things organized. The 10 game season ends June 24th. By that time it will be getting close to TASL registration time.

also FC Rubbish, if i can give you guys some advice, your outside midfielders stayed up the field as we would break, make sure they get back (put your fittest guys there) and then on defense as we dribble have one person attack the ball, it looked like you were jockeying us but back peddling basically allowing free runs into the box, have one person step to the ball immediately as everyone else backs up that'll slow down the opponents attack. yall were a fun team to play against, cool guys. good luck the rest of the way.

thanks B4C

9-1 to the hibernian with
7 different goal scorers, they had no subs, and at about 6-1 they were so tired. good guys though. felt good to get on the score sheet too.

Ugh! 1-1-1 finish on the weekend. I wish I could have a 3-0-0 finish every now and then.

Now I have to wait at least until April 14th to play again since it is Easter weekend next weekend and the following Thursday my team is off since we have 9 teams in our league.
