If any of it was really good, then you would eat it at other times as well... not just once a year.

Green bean casserole (as well as broccoli casserole and potato casserole) are good. But they're also kinda gross.

i usually fill my plate with casseroles and stuffing and don't even eat turkey

turkey is probably the worst thanksgiving food

also: pecan pie is the worst pie, pumpkin pie is better

Yeah, regular baked turkey is not very good. It's a little better if it's fried. This year we're just getting a pork shoulder from Smithfields C&B. And already cooked collards from Piggly Wiggly. And OYSTERS for the next day!

^^yeah basically. if you're a good cook (or have good cooks in the family) then all thanksgiving foods can be prepared in a p delicious way. but also everybody likes different stuff so i guess whatever, ya know.

We eat green bean casserole probably once a month. We use cream of chicken though because my wife is weird. I'm fine with mushrooms but she isn't. It's probably my favorite part along with a deep fried turkey. And we don't make deep fried turkeys very often because... Well, it's deep frying a turkey

I made a pecan pie for friendsgiving this year. It was a hit.

Green bean casserole can be good, but there are so customizations that make it bad. Like using frozen green beans or having too much of that crunchy onion shit on the top.

You gotta use fresh green beans, if this is a family gathering you have the little kids snap them for you

A perfectly cooked turkey is the best, but let's be honest that's probably about 1 in every 10 times you have turkey that it's perfectly cooked.

Gravy and stuffing and sweet potato casserole have my vote (the kind with the brown sugar and nuts on top, not that marshmallow garbage).

I have never had good green bean casserole and stuffing, so I can imagine they would be good.

As for cranberry sauce, the canned ones are disgusting, but I have a couple of times had some really nice homemade ones which weren't as sweet as candy. The tartness paired really nicely with turkey meat.

Best Thanksgiving food I have had is still a sweet potato pie two years ago. Oh, and a sweet potato casserole last year. And also my pumpkin bread.

Going to a Murrcan family's home tomorrow, the same one I went to last year. Will take the same pumpkin bread that I took last year that everybody raved about.
