A family member wants to remove some very large trees that are very near their house in Wake County.

Anyone have a good experience with a local tree removal company?

I don't know how common it is, but these guys have a crane - http://youngstreetech.com/ and were cheaper than the other 3 quotes i got.

Arbor Maxx was very good and one other. If they are huge, a crane makes easy work of it, as my mom had 25 pine trees removed in a day and all were 60-90 feet tall. Next day they ground all the stumps.

i was really happy with bartlett tree experts. i think their removal price wasn't the lowest, but i was most comfortable with them to asses a bunch of trees so just had them also do the removal

it was too big for barlett? i thought they were pretty big, they removed a bunch of tall trees on a slope beside a 40kV line for me

I did notice that they don't emphasize "tree removal", but I still plan to contact them.

I had several that were listed on here come out and give estimates, I ended up going with these guys

They had one of the cheaper estimates, and I have nothing but good things to say about the operation. Total professionals, and it was pretty amazing to watch fast and efficient they worked. I would definitely recommend them.

How much did they charge? I think I ended up paying ~$300 per yuge pine tree to have them yanked out via crane with stumps ground. Trees the crane couldn't reach would have cost more than that (youngs tree tech)
