if you go back to the wolverine we are first introduced to in "x-men", he is a character that could fit in quite well in the worlds of LSTSB & Snatch (and i'm not just saying that because he is a bare-knuckle-boxer)

plus, this means probably some jason statham action

and i think we all know who he'd be great as

It's definitely going to be Dark Phoenix. The cast is already almost unmanageable, so I don't imagine we'll see too many new characters beyond probably Beast and Angel.

stryfe doesnt even work in the books (yeah i said it) so he'd be terrible in the films

sinister could work if you just flip the brothers and made it so he's been working on havok this whole time (which of course i'd be a fan if it got havok on screen)

and apocalypse would just be odd...

i remember when the spiderman movies were first being discussed

and they were going to have like bit-villains fight him early in the movies, just for the hell of it almost
stuff like the shocker or the rhino
something just to add spice

i def think if we're not going to start getting Danger Room stuff, we need mini-villains

no more exposition for a movie or two...

someday it'll be "fine" to do wolvie's backstory *ahem, his own movie*
but no more col. stryker esque stuff

that said, i'm gonna go get some dinner and go read the astonishing x-men tpb again...

The character's background, purpose, and powers are still too ridiculous to work withint the context of the universe they've established in the movies.

Agreed, the way they have set up the movies would make it too difficult to make Apocalypse correctly. It would be difficult having Apocalypse grow to the size of a huge building without it looking ridiculous. They would have to modify his powers or something, which would probably anger lots of fans. I think someone like Omega Red would make a more suitable sub-villain, but they had a really good ending in X2 with Magneto escaping and Pyro joining his side. Maybe Avalanche will be in the next one too... you can't really have Pyro without Avalanche.

But I agree with bartleby, even though there are mutants and shit in the movie universe, something like Apocalypse would seem 'unbelievable' the way they have it set up.

but of course, you'd have to go through Angel somehow

(seriously though, if we could ever really get to know cyclops as anything other than the guy who is feuding with wolverine, the conflict of scott vs alex would be great, and the fight would be amazing - their powers literally bouncing off each other, creating destruction and chaos all around, eventually having to just drag down and outright brawl...)

During Grant Morrison's run on New X-Men there was a female character called Angel...she was more buglike than birdlike though, dunno it that's what they're going for. There is a wealth of great female characters in the X-verse (I think they should add Psylocke or Emma Frost, would love to see the triangle with Cyke and a returned Phoenix and a showdown with Wolvie like in Astonishing X-Men 1) don't understand why they need to change a character or bring in such a minor one but whatever.

Beast should be awesome and long overdue (and should be voiced by Kelsey Grammar).

I'm going to be really pissed if Gambit is really in it.

I think the Hellfire Club (see Emma thoughts earlier) and Sentinels would be the best fits for the universe they've created (and there were plans of bringing Sentinels in the earlier movies.)

Think they can hold off on the Dark Phoenix Story line if they did it right.

And before they bring in too many more characters I want bigger roles for Collosus and Kitty.

I think she would of been way to overpowered in the first two movies. Also how excatly does she get her powers in the comicbooks, does she just develop the power to fly or does she absorb it from someone or something?

Yeah I think the general rule is that if she touches someone for a long enough time, she permanently absorbs their powers and almost kills them. Which means that if she were evil, she would have the potential to become one of the most powerful mutants alive. But then again, she would have to deal with the mental effects... all the thoughts/memories that the person had. She probably wouldn't have the mental capacity to do something like that though. Unless she absorbed Professor X's powers

First of all, Bishop really doesn't have much to do with the Apocalypse-Cable story. Second, it was pretty bad in the comics and would be terrible as a movie.
