Replaced Ball Joints, Outer Tie Rods, and CV Shafts on the Mazda. Ordered wheel bearing kit for the Porsche and some ATE Super Blue fluid for both the Mazda and Porsche. I'll be replacing the wheel bearings in the Porsche next weekend, but unforunately, it won't be in time to Auto-x it on the Halloween. Maybe it'll be ready for January. 10/22/2009 9:24:50 AM |

Well, let's see...the last thing I did to my vehicles was put Sta-Bil in them...the S2000, Ram, Waverunner, SV650, lawn mower, and 3 gas cans--I think I used about a half gallon of the stuff. Just a week and a half to go until I get back home and can start burning it all out! 10/25/2009 2:25:33 AM |

Had a warped rotor on the front driver's side wheel. Took the wheel off and started to take to top bolt off the caliper and it took almost no pressure to break the bolt loose. "Oh shit," I thought. Then I reached down to remove the bottom one and it was missing. That's right, my brake caliper was held on by one approximately hand tight bolt. My dad had replaced the pads on that wheel about 1000 miles ago while I was working on the passenger side. Honest mistake I suppose, but I'm happy as hell I caught it before the caliper fell off on 40 or some shit. Replaced bolt (18.99 a pack ) and fixed the rotor I'd set out to in the first place and all was well. 10/25/2009 8:48:57 PM |

oh yeah, 1st place in class today!
slick ass street tires, awd, first race for this car too
5th overall, i think

Jacked the Porsche up, took the tires off, and took the brake pads off. I need a damn 19mm open ended wrench to reach a bolt to disassemble the caliper to take the hub off. I'll get it when I go out and get me some grease and the brass punch kit. 10/27/2009 11:05:55 PM |
