in this situation i don't think its that big of a deal that people pulled for unc. i mean they were playing michigan state

but that aside, it surprises me the lack of school spirit most people possess.

anyone can pull for a winner. that's easy.

but people like die hard ecu fans-they have my total respect.


i'm willing to bet if unc's althletics went down the tube-youd see a lot of conversions. because "no one likes a loser"

that's my theory on why the unc fans greatly outnumber the unc students/alumni

^ I did a survey of my coworkers at the Raleigh Grande once and found that the kids who went to State rooted for State, but everybody else rooted for Carolina and had never gone there. I also found that most black people in North Carolina. I have come to dub this the "Jordan effect". When I inquired the security guard about his college basketball inclinations, he replied "UNC, baby!" to which I muttered, "Frontrunner."
