The government is setting up their chess pieces for an almost guaranteed victory, but the majority of this country doesn't even know this chess game exists. This game we're playing has our lives at stake, and those that do know this game is being played, they don't know how to defend themselves from or prevent the impending strike.

^ You should have made some ads that say SUPPORT LOCALLY OWNED BUSINESS :OCCUPY GB'S PIZZA ON SMALL BUSINESS SATURDAY". You don't exploit people; you exploit opportunities. People gone peep. Opportunities gone knock.

I see no need to advertise in a city where all your competitors are advertising unless you want to compete.

Cheerleader Melissa Kellerman was barely into the middle part of her 15 minutes of fame when the Dallas Cowboys pulled the plug.

Kellerman, a 22-year-old student in her fourth year with the team, became a national sensation on Thanksgiving when she was accidentally tackled on the sideline by Cowboys tight end Jason Witten(notes).

Those were pretty much the perfect tweets: Clever, self-deprecating and a bit funny. (We'll even ignore the winking emoticons.) Why did she have to delete her Twitter account? Do the Cowboys believe cheerleaders are only to be seen, not heard?

Hardly. The team allows cameras to record cheerleader auditions for a reality show on CMT. It's alright when the team controls the message but not when a cheerleader begins to get a following and has the stage to herself? This should have been a win-win for everyone involved. Witten looked chivalrous when he helped up Kellerman, she became endearing with her laughter and positive attitude. Both the franchise and the cheerleaders looked good after this. Now, only Kellerman does.

The 22-year old South Carolina native is studying to become a teacher.

All the tweets by NFL are controlled. Freedom of speech baby.

Since Occupy Wall Street began, American police officers have arrested thousands of people for exercising their constitutionally protected right to protest. On Monday or Tuesday, the US Senate will vote on a bill that would give the President the ability to order the military to arrest and imprison American citizens anywhere in the world for an indefinite period of time.

A provision of S. 1867, or the National Defense Authorization Act bill, written by Senators John McCain and Carl Levin, declares American soil a battlefield and allows the President and all future Chief Executives to order the military to arrest and detain American citizens, innocent or not, without charge or trial. In other words, if this bill passes and the President signs it, OWS protesters or any American could end up arrested and indefinitely locked up by the military without the guaranteed right to due process or a speedy trial.

This bill was written in secret and approved by committee without a single hearing. Senate Republicans support the bill and enough Democrats support it to give it a great chance of passing. This provision does have opponents. President Obama has threatened to veto the bill and even Ron Paul is concerned enough to bring it up during one of the GOP debates. An amendment called the Udall Amendment has been offered by Democratic Senator Mark Udall that would delete the dangerous provision.

I didn't see anything that had to do with terrorists or homeland soil after reading the table of contents.

God damn, that shit is extreme too big while 1 authorization is so small and can be put practically anywhere.

In the comments section:

Quote :
"Funny, I read sections 1031 and 1032 of S. 1867 - the sections cited on other sites - and you know what? Section 1032 specifically exempts American citizens and even legal permanent residents from sections 1031 and 1032. Why don't sites like yours ever publish the language of the bill or the links to the bill, instead of getting people stirred up over complete nonsense?"

I'm glad you pointed that out goodlock. Saves me from looking like a tard like I usually do by trusting people that I don't know about facts that I don't know. Not that I'm afraid of error. The reason why I broadcast this information is to be proved wrong in the first place

"It starts out by exempting them and then goes on to provide "exceptions" and reasons for "waivers" as any legal document would. It'd be nice if you could read just that part and know you're safe, but it's not that simple. I have the entire bill open and have been reading it for hours now. It's not that easy to interpret in the first place, but with all the legal jargon.
I copied a little at random and you can see how the real reading goes (it's random, not picked for relevance to the particulars of this little debate):
"

Quote :
"(c) Prohibition in Cases of Prior Confirmed Recidivism-

(1) PROHIBITION- Except as provided in paragraph (2) and subsection (d), the Secretary of Defense may not use any amounts authorized to be appropriated or otherwise made available to the Department of Defense to transfer any individual detained at Guantanamo to the custody or control of the individual's country of origin, any other foreign country, or any other foreign entity if there is a confirmed case of any individual who was detained at United States Naval Station, Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, at any time after September 11, 2001, who was transferred to such foreign country or entity and subsequently engaged in any terrorist activity.

(2) EXCEPTION- Paragraph (1) shall not apply to any action taken by the Secretary to transfer any individual detained at Guantanamo to effectuate--

(A) an order affecting the disposition of the individual that is issued by a court or competent tribunal of the United States having lawful jurisdiction (which the Secretary shall notify Congress of promptly after issuance); or

(B) a pre-trial agreement entered in a military commission case prior to the date of the enactment of this Act.

(d) National Security Waiver-

(1) IN GENERAL- The Secretary of Defense may waive the applicability to a detainee transfer of a certification requirement specified in paragraph (4) or (5) of subsection (b) or the prohibition in subsection (c) if the Secretary, with the concurrence of the Secretary of State and in consultation with the Director of National Intelligence, determines that--

(A) alternative actions will be taken to address the underlying purpose of the requirement or requirements to be waived;

(B) in the case of a waiver of paragraph (4) or (5) of subsection (b), it is not possible to certify that the risks addressed in the paragraph to be waived have been completely eliminated, but the actions to be taken under subparagraph (A) will substantially mitigate such risks with regard to the individual to be transferred;

(C) in the case of a waiver of subsection (c), the Secretary has considered any confirmed case in which an individual who was transferred to the country subsequently engaged in terrorist activity, and the actions to be taken under subparagraph (A) will substantially mitigate the risk of recidivism with regard to the individual to be transferred; and

(D) the transfer is in the national security interests of the United States.

(2) REPORTS- Whenever the Secretary makes a determination under paragraph (1), the Secretary shall submit to the appropriate committees of Congress, not later than 30 days before the transfer of the individual concerned, the following:

(A) A copy of the determination and the waiver concerned.

(B) A statement of the basis for the determination, including--

(i) an explanation why the transfer is in the national security interests of the United States; and

(ii) in the case of a waiver of paragraph (4) or (5) of subsection (b), an explanation why it is not possible to certify that the risks addressed in the paragraph to be waived have been completely eliminated.

(C) A summary of the alternative actions to be taken to address the underlying purpose of, and to mitigate the risks addressed in, the paragraph or subsection to be waived."

Amendment #1

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble tents, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Quote :
"New Video Of Occupy Houston Shooting

The video hadn't been shown to the public until now. Eyewitnesses started shooting video of it all when they first saw the man walking around, firing the gun at the downtown Houston park last week.

One eyewitness was able to capture the event on camera until the very end, when police took the gunman down with several shots before any innocent bystanders were hit.

Dressed in a black suit and smoking a cigarette, a 21-year-old begins firing an assault weapon in a downtown park. As several eyewitness try to warn others, David Loeser reaches for his camera. Loeser, interested in the nearby Occupy movement, was talking with friends when Joshua Anthony Twohig began firing a .40-caliber-assault-rifle in Tranquility Park.

"When he walked onto the bridge and shot the first shots in the water, I was just in minor shock and was like, 'Oh I got my camera!'" Loeser.

Twohig paces back and forth on a pedestrian bridge; at times, he even put the rifle to his head. As police arrive on scene however, Twohig refuses to drop the rifle and he's taken down by several shots.

Twohig was rushed to a hospital for several gun shot wounds. Eyewitness News has since learned Twohig is married with a one-year-old child.

Neighbors say he recently lost his job and his wife underwent major surgery.

However, Loeser says it's was a miracle that between Twohig and police firing several rounds, no innocent bystanders were injured.

"It's just totally just incredible that the only person that got injured was himself," Loeser said.

Twohig is still hospitalized in fair condition.

In the meantime, police have not given a motive for the shooting, as it remains under investigation."

"The very people most responsible for crashing the system, were then rewarded with trillions of our dollars. This gave that select group of insiders unlimited power to seize control of assets and have unprecedented leverage over almost everything within their economies – crony capitalism on steroids.

This was a hostile world takeover orchestrated through economic attacks by a very small group of unelected global bankers. They paralyzed the system, then were given the power to recreate it according to their own desires. No free market, no democracy of any kind. All done in secrecy. In the process, they gave themselves all-time record-breaking bonuses and impoverished tens of millions of people – they have put into motion a system that will inevitably collapse again and utterly destroy the very existence of what is left of an economic middle class.

That is not hyperbole. That is what happened.

We are talking about trillions of dollars secretly pumped into global banks, handpicked by a small select group of bankers themselves. All for the benefit of those bankers, and at the expense of everyone else. People can’t even comprehend what that means and the severe consequences that it entails, which we have only just begun to experience.

Let me sum it up for you: The American Dream is O-V-E-R.

Welcome to the neo-feudal-fascist state.
