The hubris!

How would we have reacted to France getting involved in the 2000 election?

So why on earth do you think Obama should stick our noses in Iran?

^^wait wait wait, did you just compare the 2000 election to the recent Iran election?!

You are comparing an clearly stolen election, where protesting citizens are murdered and silenced to the 2000 election of the US president.........really.......you are honestly comparing these two events?

Obama's flip-flop: 'Public option' again called 'best' path to health reform

^ huh?

Obama has always been a fan of the public option, he has just said recently it's not a "deal breaker" on getting the bill passed. That's not flip-flopping.

Flip-flopping would be if he was saying he wouldn't sign the bill if it had a public option in it.

I hope you use more sense than you're showing now when you grade students' work.

Obama wanted funding to close Gitmo (it costs money to transfer equipment, troops, prisoners) and Congress denied it. How is that a flip-flop?d

You wonder why noone here takes you seriously, but I'll give you a hint: It has more to do with the fact that you are a full-on, foaming-at-the-mouth, intellectually dishonest partisan hack and less to do with the fact that you have conservative ideas.

^ 1. I don't give a shit what you or your cohorts here think of me.

2. Obama campaigned on closing Gitmo:

http://www.talkleft.com/story/2008/4/15/101037/288

3. Obama vowed to close Gitmo within one year:

http://www.reuters.com/article/topNews/idUSTRE50K5M320090122

4. Obama signed an executive order to close Gitmo:

http://www.whitehouse.gov/the_press_office/ClosureOfGuantanamoDetentionFacilities/

5. The Senate--which is controlled by Democrats, in case you hadn't heard--denied funding (in a 90 to 6 vote) to close Gitmo:

http://www.nytimes.com/2009/05/21/us/politics/21detain.html

But I'm a partisan hack? Strange--since I belong to no political party.

I now invite you to piss off.

You say, right there, that it wasn't Obama that controlled whether or not Gitmo funding was cutoff.

Obama wasn't able to control his own party, but he didn't flip-flop on the issue.

^ Call it what you will. The fact of the matter is that it's yet another broken Obama promise on a growing list of them.

Obama shouldn't have made the commitment to close Gitmo if he wasn't going to be able to honor it. Did the thought of Congress denying funds not occur to him?

Didn't Obama promise to come back with "a plan" for transferring detainees as a condition imposed by Congressional Democrats to fund the closure of Gitmo? Whatever happened to that, exactly?

Meanwhile, I'm still waiting for that "Blue Ribbon Commission" on Yucca Mountain to convene. You know, where we were supposed to be inviting science back to the White House, and not let petty politics trump science, etc. Seems like yet more empty promises to me.

I'm not really sure what you are. You seem to show little support for anything in what you post. Mostly, you've shown yourself to be an anti-liberal activist who regurgitates news snippets. But you're often a failure at that, even though you may not realize or admit it.

So, what would you call yourself? It's hooksaw introspection time.

I've indirectly stated as much many times before. Generally, we should ask him how outraged we should be about something, but I suspect it's a 12 on a 1-20 scale every time he posts so maybe its a waste of time.

And concerning what I think the level of outrage should be for any of you moonbats, I don't really give a shit. I would offer that it probably should be as much as you would have for Bush if he were breaking one promise after another.

Again, I'm confused as to what you're trying to accomplish. Am I disappointed that he's not delivered on all of his campaign promises? Yes. Is this different from any single President in the history of America? No. Will I vote for someone else in 2012? Probably not.

Barack Obama under fire over trip for Chicago’s Olympic bid
Barack Obama is under fire from Democrats and Republicans over his high-risk decision to fly to Copenhagen to support the Olympic bid of his home town, Chicago.
01 Oct 2009

Quote :
"The president left Washington last night amid the private misgivings of fellow Democrats that he might squander more of his diminishing political capital on a failed effort.

His hesitancy about going to Denmark – last week he said he was too busy – has also led to criticism of his decision-making while Republicans have questioned the value of the 24-hour mission with debates raging at home on the economy, health care and Afghanistan.

Others asked if he would be properly focused on the high stakes nuclear talks with Iran in Geneva, which concluded as he lifted off from Andrews air force base."

http://tinyurl.com/ya2qjkz

Obama seems to be utterly incapable of either making a decision and sticking to it or not saying anything until he's decided what he's going to do.
