I still really dig the Protest the Hero album. They could certainly be better but they write a lot of really cool riffs, and I always like hearing a metal band break into major chord progressions outside of straight up power metal. Im certainly injecting several big major chord progressions into our next album.

and I really have gotten tired of straight up blast beats nonstop. Dont get me wrong, blast beats are great but a band that just blasts and/or rolls double bass as fast as possible really does nothing for me anymore after all these years.

So having said that I'll definitely have to check out the new enslaved.

i just bought that WITTR Poster today.

i love that album so much. I'm trying really hard to get into Deathspell Omega since everyone who likes Negura Bunget and Wittr praise DSO to no end and NB/Wittr are my two favorite black metal bands maybe with the exception of older Enslaved.
