Silas is going to be featured in a segment on The Doctor's tomorrow on CBS.

His cleft lip repair was filmed and they also talk about DiGeorge Syndrome.

I'm excited that my boy is going to be on TV and that people are going to hear about the great work the doctor's at Duke are doing!

We did not get any compensation.

My husband and I agreed to do anything that Duke PR asked us to do because of how incredibly grateful we were for Dr. Markert's work because without her we wouldn't have our son. All of her work is still considered research and many insurance companies do not cover the transplant. We were fortunate that our company covered all but several thousand of Silas's medical expenses, other children have died waiting for insurance approval.
