i did something like this back awhile before my cat died. i'd gotten a picture taken when we brought him home as a kitten, and then i took one about 8 years later. makes me wonder where those pictures are now...

I had wanted to take a photo of my son standing on my hand just the way I had stood on my dad’s hand as a baby. My wife snapped the photo and we were amazed at how much I resembled my dad in pose in that 40 year time warp. I will note that although my dad was holding me up in the air outside along the side of a road, I was holding my son, Warren, over a soft bed!

I like that one, but it doesn't seem to fit in with the rest of the project to redo the pictures with the same people in the same places. Remaking the photos you had with your parents with your own kids would make a cool separate project though.
