Basically some people have gone back and taken a look at most of the Pixar movies and believe they all exist in the same universe and coexist.

There is a pizza truck that is in all of the movies. So it's reasonable to think it's the same universe. But I'm pretty sure the just always try to get it in there somehow, like a lot of the other references.
