Got up this morning and noticed that the red "EV" light was lit on my phone. I guess EV-DO is now active in the triangle. Haven't really tested it yet though, but from what I read in other markets, it is pretty cool.

Yeah, they just activated it in RDU and Charlotte along with 7 other cities. I'm working at VZW and put my EV-DO to full use on my 8000 here in Atlanta. Best use ever was when I was sitting on the runway at Newark for 2 hours flying back here from HQ and got to watch Daily Show and Standup clips from Comedy Central.

I love my EV-DO........I tried it first in NYC in May. It is a great way to kill time in an airport or limo ride from the airport. The clips are good, but the real use is the faster internet. If you have one of the later phones with expandable memory then you should have almost a full internet experience. The VX8000 i have is limited with how many pictures it can download on a webpage.
