wow, just a few weeks ago she was selling off the last of her memorabilia to pay her nursing home bills, and Leo and Kate stepped in and donated money to get her through the next several months. and now she up and kicks the bucket?

Huh. I guess it'll be the WWI vets soon. There's only a handful from what I can tell, all in their hundreds. There's only one American vet alive today, and he's 108. Incidentally, we share a birthday.

Even more incidentally, he was carried to Europe by the same ship that picked up the Titanic survivors. He also worked for the White Star Line later in life
