They had it right in WWII and everything Korean War and earlier really.No soldier had a camera, and the military leadership had full control of the war media. Cameras were just a helpful tool for the propaganda campaign back home. If you could randomly peep into events of WWII, it would make Vietnam look like Barney and Friends.
