The episode will be about my niece Heather and her boyfriend picking out their first home together.http://www.hgtv.com/house-hunters/young-pennsylvania-couple-is-taking-some-big-steps/index.htmlAlso, if someone could remind me to watch too, I usually forget and miss these things

sorry

i have to wash my hair that night

I do not recommend buying a home with someone who is just a boyfriend/girlfriend.
5/31/2012 11:18:28 AM
That needs to go in one persons name or the other. If one wants out of it later its gonna be hell and it will have to be refinanced or sold.(they can add the other spouse to the deed once they get married if they want)[Edited on May 31, 2012 at 11:21 AM. Reason : .]

I like House Hunters, and they've had a few local episodes recently. Where will this one be?
5/31/2012 11:21:13 AM
^^yeah, I'm caught up with having to deal with that between me and my ex but we were engaged but to each their own, some people don't marry at all and each relationship is different^Pennsylvania, Heather currently lives where I grew up in the Hatboro-Horsham area so I'm guessing they'll be staying around there. ]
5/31/2012 11:21:53 AM
Heather? I'll bet that she puts out.

Dont know about how recent it is, but there is an episode of a couple that were living in the hudson building downtown and looking to move into a house with more space for their dog and kid.
5/31/2012 11:28:28 AM
HGTV is the one thing i miss about not having cable. i love House Hunters
5/31/2012 11:29:23 AM
There was an Apex episode, and a Holly Springs episode, and a Cary episode within the past month. Haven't seen anything in Raleigh in a while but they played the "Raleigh sleeping community" episodes back to back on weekend.
5/31/2012 11:31:33 AM
5/31/2012 11:31:36 AM
There was an Apex episode of Hoarders.
5/31/2012 11:34:33 AM
Doesn't Hulu Plus have HGTV?? Pretty cheap subscription compared to cable...then you get to watch all the HH and HHI you want!
5/31/2012 11:37:16 AM
i've had Hulu Plus for over a year and have never seen HGTV on it. unless it's on the website version, which is possible - normally i just watch through the xbox.
5/31/2012 11:38:52 AM
HHI > HHby like a trillion fold
5/31/2012 11:39:06 AM
my fiance got into the international one for a while - mostly because he caught 1 episode where this Canadian teacher was taking a job in Abu Dhabi and my fiance used to live there when he was younger.
5/31/2012 11:40:53 AM
I love when they go to some jungle or Italy
5/31/2012 11:42:37 AM
How old are you where you niece is buying a house? My nieces are 6
5/31/2012 11:44:43 AM
Does your niece end up going wayy over budget in order to be happy, like almost everybody else on that show?
5/31/2012 11:45:30 AM
5/31/2012 11:47:47 AM
when we bought our house last year our realtor asked us if we wanted to be on house hunters. Apparently someone at HGTV contacted her office while we were looking.
5/31/2012 11:49:22 AM
My brother was 18 when his girlfriend got preggers, so my niece is just a year or two younger than me, she and my sister are just a few months apart.

^^^ yay good to know [Edited on May 31, 2012 at 11:51 AM. Reason : one more ]

This show would be better if they did like an...wait no, there's no way to make this show good. Maybe they could bring back Suzanne Wong because you never know.

One of my friends is going to be on there at some point buying a cabin in the mountains near Gatlinburg.

Property Virgins is way better than House Hunters, FYI.Well, when Sandra Rinomato was still on there.

I love HH
5/31/2012 12:18:09 PM
So have they told you how they film it?I'm sure I could find something if I google it, but that website is just too far away I always assumed the people have already picked out or even bought the house already and then the show just takes them to two other random houses to fill in the rest of the show. At least I hope thats how it works. I wouldn't like the idea of having to pick from just a few houses
5/31/2012 12:18:29 PM
^ Yes that's how they do it. If you pay attention you'll notice they always "choose" the house that's unfurnished.
5/31/2012 12:19:28 PM
5/31/2012 1:21:39 PM
oh wow I didnt realize Sandra Rinomato wasn't on Property Virgins anymore!
5/31/2012 1:26:54 PM
I always liked seeing the move-in gift for Property Virgins. Some were pretty awesome.
5/31/2012 1:27:41 PM
I don't think they do a gift on Property Virgins. They do on "My First Place" or something like that.
5/31/2012 1:44:52 PM
5/31/2012 1:49:50 PM
They definitely do a house warming gift with Property Virgins. They just don't always show it.
5/31/2012 1:50:53 PM
^ yeah, sometimes they dont even end up with a house in Property Virgins I always lol when that happens
5/31/2012 1:51:06 PM
Those frustrate me to no end. One was a very nice woman with a $200k down payment and a $400k budget, but none of the homes were up to the standard of living with her parents. So, she just stayed with them.
5/31/2012 1:52:36 PM
One time this couple was trying to low ball and they missed out and never got their dream house, I was on the elliptical and had to slow down I was laughing so much
5/31/2012 1:54:53 PM
You damn well better believe I could find a house for under $400k if it got me out of living with my parents.
5/31/2012 1:55:22 PM
I love Sandra Rinomato so much.
5/31/2012 1:55:46 PM
5/31/2012 2:27:40 PM
5/31/2012 2:32:47 PM
Damn. That's disappointing. I loved him. I would also be up for a Room Crashers, or a House Crashers. The only Crashers show I don't really like is Bath Crashers.
