bro, everybody in Tech Talk knows how butthurt you get in Apple threads and how "LALALA-fingers-in-my-ears" you get when people call you out, so you can just drop the whole "people really like to think that bothers me" act.
6/21/2012 10:57:50 AM
I mean, it's fine if that's what you think. But it's simply not true. Guess I can't change how people feel, it's really a good thing I don't use TWW to garner my self-worth. Bro. [Edited on June 21, 2012 at 11:00 AM. Reason : That's what Facebook is for.]

It's easy to say, "I wasn't angry" over the internet because you're hiding behind a computer screen. But when someone who doesn't normally use exclamation points or naughty words, suddenly goes on a profanity laced rant with exclamation points and capital letters all over the place (and is clearly not joking)...then yes, you were angry. It's okay though...everyone gets mad. It just makes you look kinda sad when you keep denying it.[Edited on June 21, 2012 at 11:04 AM. Reason : .]

Implying anger is fun because it usually provokes folks to defend themselves from the percieved social suicide of getting upset over something someone posted on he Internet, even though everyone does from time to time. One of the oldest trolls in the book.

When I get to put dumbasses like you in your place it literally makes me the exact opposite of angry. It's seriously one of the biggest reasons I visit TWW. Sorry to burst your bubble. [Edited on June 21, 2012 at 11:28 AM. Reason : also I see no capital letters all over the place. you're 1/3 on your anger detection buddy.]

Oh...I def get mad in Sports Talk. Well, "frustrated" would be the best word to describe it. I wish most posters would come into Sports Talk with the attitude that I bring into Tech Talk. The, "I don't know what the fuck I'm talking about, let me ask a few questions and hope I get a few answers. Oh wait...El Nacho is on his period again...I'm out!"
6/21/2012 12:37:04 PM
jbrick, you've been downright truculent latelyWhat gives, sugarplum?

I think my napoleon complex has been flaring up. It's been dormant for a few years. Too many tall people in my life.

I go into Tech Talk for a consensus.First, I don't generally do a lot of research on Tech stuff. If I'm looking to buy a tablet, a laptop, or my contract up and is up and I'm looking at phones...then I'll do a basic google search. I'll try and find some comparison videos and basic reviews. So this happens once, maybe twice a year at the most. I don't know how trustworthy these sites are...I don't know what the main-tech and well regarded sites are. So many different articles come up that say so many different things...that it can be a tad bit overwhelming, but nothing that makes me feel lost.So then I go into Tech Talk to see if anyone's opinions match what I found through my brief "research." And if I don't find any opinions, then I'll ask some general questions to get those opinions. A lot of it is me being lazy...but why pore through dozens of articles when I ask a question or start a thread on t-dub and get most of my answers from people that I mostly respect (although I do have to figure in apple and MS-biases).In regards to the iphone question which got your panties in a wad...there were several articles that came up (that mentioned "iphone5"...which again, riled you up for some reason)...and they all brought up that they thought the new iphone would have 4G capabilities (with Verizon of course) and possibly have a larger screen. So I brought those questions to Tech Talk to see what the consensus was. For some reason, you were the only one that got "angry" (I forgot...you don't get angry). I know Tech Talk has a ton of posters that work for companies in similar fields, and that's why I go there for their expertise. I also know that iphone/ipad/iwhatever stuff has come leaked out in the past and people have made decent predictions on things that have been released. Again, I don't keep up with this shit...I only look into it if I'm about to purchase something. So I miss A LOT.I don't care if you get angry, but it does tend to clog up the discussion aside from it being amusing.I also have the memory of an elephant. I can recall disagreements that Ernie and I had years ago over Brett Favre. Remembering what the argument I had with Sensitive Sally in Tech Talk is pretty easy.[Edited on June 21, 2012 at 1:27 PM. 6/21/2012 2:49:55 PM
It's an internet message board...arguing over stupid shit is one of its main purposes.
6/21/2012 2:54:10 PM
Will you two just fuck and get it over with? And El Nachó is like a golovko twin. They'd both argue with a damn brick wall.]
