I need a recommendation for a lawyer in Davidson County.I was pulled for 79 in a 55 MPH construction zone.
7/19/2012 9:47:39 AM
That is unfortunate.I have a simple trick that will help you never get a speeding ticket.Don't speed.
7/19/2012 9:50:25 AM
7/19/2012 9:56:13 AM
^ This will probably slow me down for a while.
7/19/2012 9:56:53 AM

I forget if it's sawahash or bottombaby that was a ridiculous cunt in one of those "don't commit crimes!" threads a few weeks ago. I sometimes have a hard time separating the chubby bunnies on this site.
7/19/2012 10:05:20 AM
how rude.
7/19/2012 10:08:35 AM
Prepare to get bent over...the construction zone is bad...better use a pray for judgement.
7/19/2012 10:09:05 AM
7/19/2012 10:14:15 AM
I'm thinking PFJ but if I can get a lawyer to take care of it for <500 that may be better.
7/19/2012 10:15:34 AM
7/19/2012 10:18:41 AM
^ this is serial, nobody has suggested a lawyer yet.
7/19/2012 10:21:09 AM
Only lawyers I know to suggest are for Catawba and Carteret county...so unfortunately I am in no help to you in that situation.
7/19/2012 10:22:50 AM
bottombaby is the one that thinks cops should legally be able to sodomize anyone they feel like stopping
7/19/2012 10:26:18 AM
maybe she is a bad driver and really likes sodomy
7/19/2012 10:30:13 AM
Why don't you wait for the 100 pieces of mail you will be getting after the ticket hits the system? Then pick the cheapest/best reviews/most annoying mailer
7/19/2012 10:35:12 AM
I-85 construction zone. the troopers are hawks in that area.
7/19/2012 10:46:54 AM
7/19/2012 11:02:39 AM
^^ yup
7/19/2012 11:04:35 AM
^^LOL ZING
7/19/2012 11:11:33 AM
After this callous display, I'm feeling kinda disgusted now that I jerked off to sawahash pics last night
7/19/2012 11:18:53 AM
i hear james crouch can get you out of a jam.
7/19/2012 11:19:31 AM
honestly, with as much construction that has gone on around DaCo highways the last 5 years you can probably pick any lawyer letter out of a hat and get it taken care of. I drive through there a good bit, mostly on weekends, and you will see cars lined up on both sides with troopers behind them.
7/19/2012 11:29:01 AM
^thats probably what I'll end up doing. Do they send letters to the address on your license or your ticket? He didn't put my apartment number on the ticket.
7/19/2012 11:35:52 AM
Never hire an attorney that sends out letters.Look on the internet for one that specializes in felonies like murder, rape, etc, those guys are qualified to handle a ticket. The ones that specialize in speeding tickets usually suck in their specialty area..and are not much, if at all cheaper.
7/19/2012 11:41:40 AM
^^ Pretty sure it's the ticket address. If your mailman doesn't suck I'm sure he can figure out which apartment box to stick your mail in even if it doesn't have the apartment number.
7/19/2012 12:09:41 PM
When I was in high school in Davidson County a bunch of people used this guy: http://www.bgbflawoffice.com/Our-Attorneys/Jerry-B-Grimes.shtml I have no personal experience with them though.
7/19/2012 12:10:50 PM
Just make sure whoever you get is competent enough to get the construction zone violation reduced. That's worse than the speed I think.
7/19/2012 12:53:37 PM
I read this thread as "Davidson County Lepers"just dropped in to share that
7/19/2012 2:02:46 PM
That construction zone is horseshit. Nearly everyone goes way over the speed limit anyway. It's almost kind of dangerous to slow down since everyone else is going slightly slower than when the speed limit was 70 mph.[Edited on July 19, 2012 at 2:08 PM. Reason : ]
7/19/2012 2:05:36 PM
Go to court yourself and and ask the DA for a reduction. ITS FREE.I HAVE SEEN THIS WORK LIKE MAYBE 3 DOZEN TIMES OR SO.[Edited on July 19, 2012 at 2:08 PM. Reason : /]
7/19/2012 2:07:44 PM
^right, but what if it doesn't?
7/19/2012 2:10:42 PM
It will (99.999999999% it will). Or ask for a continuance.
7/19/2012 2:12:03 PM
call james scott farrin on the hurtline.RIGHT FUCKING NOW BITCH
7/19/2012 2:24:47 PM
That stretch of 85 is a police state these days. When I moved to Salisbury it was one of the first things that struck me.
7/19/2012 2:56:28 PM
I have always gone in and asked the DA myself for a reduction. I think I say "I would like to offer a plea for reduction" If that is even correct lingo. They drop it to 9 over the speed limit and I pay ~$140 and walk out. If they say no (never heard of this happening), then you can request a continuance so you can hire legal council.
7/19/2012 3:02:26 PM
^That, or if they say no, you can ask one of the many lawyers handling other claims if they'll handle yours and you go ahead and pay them there.
7/19/2012 3:03:31 PM
^^, ^do you have to wait for your court date?
7/19/2012 3:05:07 PM
Depends on the county, but most of the time, no. I'm not sure about Davidson though. You can call and ask the clerk's office.
7/19/2012 3:12:35 PM
^^Yes, go in on your court date (arrive early and wear decent clothes) and check-in, they will get your papers to the DA, then you wait and the DA calls you up (or if it is a smaller place the DA will just talk to you when you check in), offer a plea for reduction, accept 9 over, pay, skip out of that motherfuckin court house.^I always just go in on the court date, but you can try to reach the DA earlier if you'd like[Edited on July 19, 2012 at 3:14 PM. Reason : doh]
7/19/2012 3:14:00 PM
Or you can not do 25 over the limit. Maybe next time the cop will be in a bad mood and throw a reckless driving charge on top of that.
7/19/2012 3:39:38 PM
^24[Edited on July 19, 2012 at 4:12 PM. Reason : and I was only doing 9 over, they shouldn't have put a damn work zone there ]
7/19/2012 4:11:24 PM
You can go to the DA office sometime weeks ahead of time.
