You kids don't know nothin' about power surges. Heck, back in my day, we didn't have surge protectors, we didn't have nothin'. You'd be sittin' on the couch watching TV and then BAM, it explodes in your face.

my parents have a 42" LCD HDTV on the same surge protector as a BR player...the storm the other night borked the TV, apparently, but not BR player

how hard is it to replace a TV power supply (which i assume is what's borked)
