I took it back in 2003. It was required for us then... is it no longer required? I still use Maple every now and then for doing complex integration and stuff.

Its a prereq math class... Take the normal one because it will be way easier to cheatI'm Krallum and I approved this message.[Edited on August 9, 2012 at 5:35 PM. Reason : and lets be real, do hot broads sign up for a laptop section of any class?]

If you take it, buy MathCAD http://www.amazon.com/Essential-Mathcad-Engineering-Science-Edition/dp/012374783X/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1344548052&sr=8-1&keywords=mathcad (This book comes with a CD of MathCAD 14) or use MathCAD via VCL.[Edited on August 9, 2012 at 5:37 PM. it's more heavy on the Maple worksheets and stuff. If you are self-motivated with a good sense of spacial reasoning, it's much easier. If you're a procrastinator and the type to rely on formulas to tell your right from left, they you will hate it.The prof that runs it is nice and will offer extensions EVERY time there is a network outage anywhere on campus.

well ain't that spacial.

Screw maple. Why don't they teach Matlab in earlier classes??

^^^ I always wondered who was behind network outages on campus...Now we know. MA 242 students in the laptop section.
