This is more of a gravity clothesline.
10/13/2012 11:30:05 AM
damn how many takes before they got it right
10/13/2012 11:34:19 AM
that is a fucking awesome finishing move
10/13/2012 11:40:43 AM
that shit has got to hurt
10/13/2012 11:43:44 AM
just don't miss and hit his head...ouch
10/13/2012 12:05:23 PM
The lame thing is that it's not even his finisher. He was known all across the indies for doing great European uppercuts, and used this as one of his finishers, but then he got to WWE and they're making him use a Karl Gotch Neutralizer.
10/13/2012 11:17:05 PM
oh my gosh that must have hurt, and i'm confident nobody knew the match result before it happened
10/13/2012 11:26:53 PM
10/13/2012 11:43:25 PM
As long as you have never enjoyed a scripted piece of entertainment, I accept your criticism.
10/13/2012 11:58:46 PM
aside from Tim Donaghy controlling the Over/Under of a handful of NBA games, I don't think I havethough ACC bball refs have always been questionable, but I don't think I've ever enjoyed that
10/14/2012 12:00:34 AM
I meant movies, sitcoms, dramas, or plays.
10/14/2012 12:04:02 AM
i made the meme to say LOVES FAKE SPORTS, not LOVES SCRIPTED TV AND MOVIES
10/14/2012 12:07:01 AM
Pro wrestling is much closer to a scripted drama than it is to an unscripted sporting event.Hell, no one has even bothered to argue that pro wrestling is a sport in over a decade.
10/14/2012 12:16:53 AM
i agree fake wrestling is a joke[Edited on October 14, 2012 at 12:22 AM. Reason : however, it was awesome up to age 14 or so]
10/14/2012 12:20:56 AM
People think Walter White is an asshole, but no one hits Bryan Cranston in public.Old women were jumping the barriers to punch CM Punk when he was doing his Straightedge Savior bits in 2009.Which is to say that when fake wrestling is good, it's the best.
10/14/2012 12:27:42 AM
and that's the bottom line
10/14/2012 12:31:36 AM
Stone Cold is going to wrestle Punk at WM30.
10/14/2012 12:33:31 AM
vb's love for wrestling has always baffled me
10/14/2012 12:36:25 AM
Why? I love melodrama, cool flips, winding up rednecks, and above all else, people who are good talkers. The history of pro wrestling features some of the best performers ever to be given an open microphone on television.Ric Flair, Bobby Heenan, Roddy Piper, CM Punk, etc.[Edited on October 14, 2012 at 12:40 AM. Reason : 33]
10/14/2012 12:39:46 AM
I mean, granted I don't know you outside of here, but its always seemed...out of character I guess
10/14/2012 12:44:20 AM
I suppose "vinylbandit" is about as far from a prototypical wrestling fan as one might imagine.I have plenty of friends who think I'm insane, but then I take them to a wrestling show and they get it. That doesn't mean they become fans, but they understand why I'm attracted to the spectacle and charisma.
10/14/2012 12:53:01 AM
thats what I say about phish shows
10/14/2012 12:55:31 AM
Have you heard the Analyze Phish podcast?Same concept, but after four hours of trying to be converted, the guy goes to a Phish show and still hates them.
10/14/2012 12:58:33 AM
nah, but I'll have to check it out[Edited on October 14, 2012 at 1:03 AM. Reason : do you know what show it was?]
10/14/2012 12:59:15 AM
10/14/2012 1:01:57 AM
^^ One of the MSG New Year's shows from this past year.^ Manufactured shitty music is manufactured and shitty. Manufactured wrestling characters (like Ryback) are just as shitty, but organic creations by talented performers (like Daniel Bryan, Dolph Ziggler, and CM Punk) are as invigorating and interesting as talented, original musicians.
10/14/2012 1:05:38 AM
ugh, those shows were pretty much universally lambasted by the fan basebut yeah, its not for everyone but I've definitely convinced people to go (back when tickets were 20-25 and they were lights out almost nightly) who really enjoyed themselves. definitely wouldnt call some of them fans but pretty much everyone had a blast[Edited on October 14, 2012 at 1:10 AM. Reason : listening now]
10/14/2012 1:09:58 AM
The episodes are all worth listening to, so I'm not spoiling anything, but it comes down to him admitting that he had fun that night, but it was mostly about being with friends and being high, and that when he goes back and listens to the tape he hates what he hears.
10/14/2012 1:17:19 AM
well I do like the approach they're taking and the points both are making[Edited on October 14, 2012 at 1:19 AM. Reason : very few relistenable parts in all four of those shows]
10/14/2012 1:18:29 AM
listened to the first one, pretty solid. theres no chance once dude said he didnt like zappa. thats pretty integral
