Yeah he’s been really solid.

In mind I guess I always thought it was Ven Allen-Lubin…a hyphenated last name is somewhat common. But yeah hyphenated first name is very strange

He was available because he can't guard bigs, kinda sucks at catching passes and has like no post moves. He is very good at dunking and guarding smaller/quicker players away from the basket, though. He's very one dimensional offensively and is exclusively a 5 but is too small(and/or not aggressive enough) to guard bigger post players. Don't get me wrong he's been good here, but he's got some pretty big flaws which is why he hasn't stuck anywhere.

TBH the real tragedy is this guy is the poster child for what's wrong with modern college sports. He is going to end up finishing his eligibility and be nowhere close to a degree. We're his 4th school in 4 years. Knowing how academic credits transfer, the guy will be lucky to be a sophomore hours-wise at NC State. So maybe he'll play overseas ball for a few years making non-life changing money and then what?
