did a keyword search of me posting “KD” not only did I regularly defend his signing with Golden State, I saw this post in response to a dude who is consistently the least informed NBA “fan”:

Tbh, I kinda put an asterisk next to 2020 finals too, rightly or wrongly
7/26/2026 3:51:28 PM
How about Brady's Super Bowl with Tampa Bay that same season or the Dodgers World Series?

^^haven't given it much thought. The superbowl in 2021 was far enough after I guess. Mlb was closer to when times were really weird but even then I'd say no asterisk
7/26/2026 5:03:32 PM
MLB played 60 games instead of 162. The NFL barely had any fans in the stands. Why in the world would the NBA have an asterisk if the other 2 major sports didn't?
7/26/2026 5:09:58 PM
I guess its cause the Lakers had no business winning the finals with that weak ass rooster
7/26/2026 5:19:24 PM
Weren't they the #1 seed in the West when the season paused?
7/26/2026 5:31:55 PM
that roster was nowhere near weakit was pretty stacked
7/26/2026 5:51:56 PM
Them winning it all seemed wrong to me, I just attributed it to covid season. Perhaps it was something else. Or perhaps you both think they were a strong team and should have won, idk
7/26/2026 7:03:33 PM
Countless top tier players opted out because they didn’t want to be Typhoid Marys and spread COVID, but sure, count that Mickey Mouse ring if you think it helps LeBron’s legacy. AD won it for them, not LeBron. His tenure as a Laker is a total embarrassment and most Laker fans are delighted to see him leave. That said, no matter what, he will NEVER have the legacy of Jordan, Kareem, or Bill Russel. He’s mostly been a fraud that people have made excuses for, and I hope his ring chasing in Philly nets him as many rings as the Hornets currently have.

"countless"^^^"should" has got nothing to do with it. Are you saying you WOULD count the title if someone else won?[Edited on July 26, 2026 at 7:27 PM. Reason : Tgl jinx sort of]
7/26/2026 7:26:58 PM
If it felt legit, for sure. Just felt like the lakers were gifted that ring

8 freaking teams didn’t even get “invited”But here’s a list from ChatGPT:Across the 22 teams invited to the Walt Disney World campus in Orlando for the 2020 restart, here is the full roster of players who did not suit up or play, categorized by their reasons for missing out:1. Voluntary Opt-Outs (Personal, Family, or Free Agency) * Avery Bradley (Lakers) – Opted out to remain with his family due to his son's history of respiratory illness. * Trevor Ariza (Trail Blazers) – Opted out to honor a mandatory one-month visitation period with his son. * Davis Bertans (Wizards) – Opted out as a precautionary measure to protect his health ahead of free agency. * Willie Cauley-Stein (Mavericks) – Opted out for the birth of his newborn daughter. * Wilson Chandler (Nets) – Opted out to spend time with his children and family. * Thabo Sefolosha (Rockets) – Opted out citing health safety concerns and extended time away from family. * Caleb Swanigan (Trail Blazers) – Opted out for personal reasons.2. Ruled Out Due to COVID-19 Protocols / Positive Tests * Spencer Dinwiddie (Nets) – Tested positive and experienced symptoms, sitting out on medical advice. * DeAndre Jordan (Nets) – Tested positive prior to travel and officially ruled out. * Taurean Prince (Nets) – Tested positive shortly before team departure. * Michael Beasley (Nets) – Signed as a replacement player, but tested positive shortly after arriving and had to leave. * Gary Payton II (Wizards) – Tested positive and was left off the Orlando roster. * Josh Gray (Pelicans) – Tested positive prior to travel and was replaced on the roster.3. Ruled Out Due to Pre-Existing or Offseason Injuries * Bradley Beal (Wizards) – Rotator cuff injury. * John Wall (Wizards) – Achilles tendon recovery. * Kevin Durant (Nets) – Achilles tendon recovery. * Kyrie Irving (Nets) – Shoulder surgery. * Nicolas Claxton (Nets) – Season-ending shoulder surgery. * Bojan Bogdanovic (Jazz) – Season-ending wrist surgery during hiatus. * Dwight Powell (Mavericks) – Torn Achilles tendon. * Jalen Brunson (Mavericks) – Shoulder surgery. * Courtney Lee (Mavericks) – Calf surgery. * Justise Winslow (Grizzlies) – Hip injury suffered during bubble practice before scrimmages. * Marvin Bagley III (Kings) – Foot injury sustained during initial bubble practice.> Note on the "Delete 8" Teams: 8 NBA franchises (Warriors, Timberwolves, Cavaliers, Hawks, Pistons, Bulls, Knicks, and Hornets) were not invited to the Orlando bubble at all due to their regular season records, leaving stars like Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, Trae Young, and Zach LaVine off the restart stage entirely.
7/26/2026 7:35:12 PM
tl;dr- the teams that were mathematically eliminated from the playoffs didn't play in the bubble- not a single star player opted out
7/26/2026 7:38:52 PM
I seriously cannot wait for the excuses for Lebron when the 6ers don’t win anything. It won’t be because of bad management (Bob Meyers is a genius). It won’t be because of bad coaching (Nick Nurse isn’t some Doc Rivers). It won’t be because of a lack of star power/talent. It’ll be because…?
7/26/2026 7:42:36 PM
why do you still do this?
7/26/2026 7:43:54 PM
i like how one of the SEVEN players who opted out of the bubble was a key rotational player for the Lakers
7/26/2026 7:44:50 PM
^^ Why still engage? You’re in a tizzy over defending a fraud and I just sit back and let the facts speak for themselves. Lebron and I are practically same age, and he’s the one who anointed himself as king and has a whopping 4/10 Finals record, with a gigantic asterisk for his latest “ring”. This weeks long saga for Decision 2.0 was super cringe, even for him. And here you are pretending it’s not a total joke/embarrassment.[Edited on July 26, 2026 at 7:52 PM. Reason : Sorry yall were duped. Not remotely suggesting he’s not a generationally great player but let it go]
7/26/2026 7:49:54 PM
you sound delusional every time you talk about LeBron
7/26/2026 7:50:44 PM
How am I delusional for pointing out facts? Lebron is a diva and yall keep acting as if he isn’t. It’s not like your fandom Curry’s you any favor with him. Parasocial devotion in unhealthy.
7/26/2026 7:53:50 PM
you sound like Trump talking about Biden
7/26/2026 7:55:22 PM
7/26/2026 7:58:27 PM
^^Low energy post. LeBron is a racist, I think, but Michael Jordan is the greatest, and maybe LeBron should be more like Mike. Everyone has been saying it.^ confirm what? I watch NBA basketball. I have a team I support that won 4/6 championships in my adult life and you support… players? [Edited on July 26, 2026 at 8:03 PM. Reason : Lebron is a diva. Those are the facts.]
7/26/2026 7:59:19 PM
probably got your hopes up too high that he'd come to Golden State, now you'll have to deal with another season of not making the playoffs]
7/26/2026 8:04:40 PM
7/26/2026 8:08:41 PM
^^Quite the opposite, actually. If you couldn’t pick up my dripping sarcasm about being excited for the Olden State Warriors before it’s probably because you spend too much time reading TGL’s posts which are ambiguous, stupid, and poorly written.IDK what plan the Warriors have to contend, but going all-in on a geriatric LeBron was going to be annoyingly disappointing. Bullet, dodged.[Edited on July 26, 2026 at 8:12 PM. Reason : LOL at the not making the playoffs comment. We won in 2022, so hardly a drought ]
7/26/2026 8:10:27 PM
