I put $350 on Nadal this morning in the car... i missed the first set because i was driving... i caught the 2nd set where Federer won... missed the last two while i was at church/lunch.The lesson as always, never watch a big bet...

nadal's speed + sliding on clay means he can get to almost anywhere on the court and make a decent swing at the ball+ the ball bounces well on clay, not sure how it compares to hard court, but clay vs. grass (wimbledon) is a big difference in bouncability[Edited on June 10, 2007 at 2:34 PM. the clay slows the ball down a lot so someone who likes to overpower an opponent is neutralized...Nadal's agility is phenomenal so he can get to balls in time to take comfortable swings that an average player would have absolutely no shot even getting to on a hard court.

Nadal was playing rediculous today, that one shot he made from the back corner to federer's front corner was unbelievable, still i thought fed had his chances

so federer is normally a badass, and no one can beat him...unless he plays on clay where is badassness is slowed down a little bit and nadal cam beat him?

yeahbasically nadal is best in the world on clay and top ten in the world on other surfaces.federer is the best in the world on all other surfaces and second in the world in clay.

I think it's funny how at every golf tournament its "tiger vs. phil," yet one of them always fucks up so they never really have a showdown. Whereas with these guys, they damn near always play for the championship.
