likewise. my mom was open with me about sex and drugs and answered any questions i had as well as gave me information like books for teens and stuff to read on my own if i wanted to. she also showed me how to put a condom on properly.

she did this when i was in 6th grade, definitely early but she educatied me and removed some of the mystery so when the time came for me to make a choice, i had a fucking clue about what was going on and what could happen

as a result of this i feel like i wasnt as eager to try drugs or have sex before i knew i was ready because i knew about it. i plan to do the same with my kids. i felt like i knew more than some of my friends growing up and ended up educating them on stds and shit.
