When you go to State you should be handed a guidebook on being a State fan. The first guideline should state "ABC - Anyone But Carolina". The second guideline should state "learn Murphy's Law".

Some people in my eyes can be exempt from this rule though. I'm ok with people that went to State for undergrad and UNC for grad school choosing to pull for UNC when they aren't playing State, but generally the rule is undergrad comes first. I'm somewhat ok with people that went to State pulling for UNC b/c their parent(s) went to UNC, provided they always pull for State whent the two teams are playing.
