The Merc in that video is a W123 E-class. Built like tanks, and plenty of them are diesel, but there was not a convertible. As to the SLK Kompressor, a friend's mom has one of those. Fun little car, but the ride is much stiffer than you might expect from a Mercedes. Engine and drivetrain are solid but it's had some electrical/acessory gremlins along the way.
