It's a shame that BHS is being such a divisive cunt.
5/9/2012 9:24:52 AM
if we stuck to tradition, black people shouldn't even be voting, or at the least, shouldn't be counted as an entire human, maybe 3/5s of one. and they should have their own wolf web to post on.

5/9/2012 9:38:17 AM
thats not how i roll, sorry
5/9/2012 9:42:19 AM
what do you mean? if we stuck with tradition, you wouldn't have a choice how you roll.
5/9/2012 9:56:11 AM
I don't know you understand this brotha but I am opposed to that amendmentI don't understand why the big mouths sat there and let government get a little bigger, I know that's the typical liberal desire but not on the issue of homosexuality or the recognition of nonwed partnership, you definitely wanted to choose smaller government here but you failed to make your presence felt where it countsA result that lopsided shows a lack of effort and a standard of complaceny, it should not have been that decisive in any wayThats all I'm sayin in this thread[Edited on May 9, 2012 at 10:08 AM. 5/9/2012 10:05:52 AM
It's totally the fault of liberals that religious nutbags came out in droves to vote for this amendment
5/9/2012 10:08:10 AM
pretty weak point BHS. NC is in the bible belt, and has a large number of bible-thumpin mouth-breathers. The margin is disapointing, but travel around the state some, go to all the small towns, and it would be obvious to you that this was not the fault of the "liberals". Anyways, i know you're just running your mouth for attention, so i'll stop.
5/9/2012 10:11:45 AM
My people were ready to go out there and suffer ridicule, arrest, and death to get me where I and many black men and women are todayThey fought, literally fought, for their rightAin't no fight in today's America just rhetoric, until you guys go out and fight and die for your rights u can skip the comparison to the heroics of the civil rights movement
5/9/2012 10:13:08 AM
Bitch I'm from onslow county don't tell me about small towns I know what it is
5/9/2012 10:15:26 AM
ha, ok. the gays need to get out in the streets and riot and kill and be killed, they shouldn't just be given equal treatment, they should fight and die for it. that would make you respect them. [Edited on May 9, 2012 at 10:17 AM. Reason : ]

I clicked "Like" on facebook.I did my part.
5/9/2012 10:19:52 AM
That wouldn't gain them respect it would just give your civil rights comparison leverageNo I don't gays and allies should die but making a few shirts and blogging ain't exactly the struggleThat's all I'm sayin
5/9/2012 10:19:59 AM
all i'm saying is they shouldn't have to do anything (march, protest, make shirts, riot) to be given the same "rights" (or whatever). equality should be a given.
5/9/2012 10:21:35 AM
That'd be nice I say the same but that's not the way the world works
5/9/2012 10:27:01 AM
You think gay people don't die fighting for equality in a society that oppresses them? Please tell me what America you are living in.
5/9/2012 10:33:14 AM
^^so would you rather people bitch about how the world works, or would you rather people occupy hillsborough street and protest, or would your rather people start killing those who voted for it?
5/9/2012 10:35:21 AM
I'm confused. He already said he hates gays because they are loud-mouthed and annoying. But now he's saying they should go out in the street and fight to be heard? Which one is it?
5/9/2012 10:48:14 AM
i'm really not sure what he's saying.
5/9/2012 10:49:32 AM
Hold up, this is North Carolina. Why is a negro speaking to a White Man?
5/9/2012 10:53:40 AM
I think it's because diverse interests came together to form a political coalition in the 50s to fight for the rights of people who were oppressed. You know... some of that pussy ass liberal bullshit.

ppls would rather talk to their friends and not have anonymous fools beat chest
5/9/2012 11:04:48 AM
basically what it boils down to is that BHS cares more about turtles than queers
5/9/2012 11:06:40 AM
There really isn't a gay equivalent to MLK jr when you think about it. Between clay Aiken, glee, modern family, all those singing and dancing shows, why doesn't one of the gays that conservatives already adore step up?The againsters didn't really have a good strategy. Despite out raising the forers their ad campaigns were only effective in preaching to the choir. They spent too much time trying to rally sympathizers of their cause rather than demonize and bring in the opposition. We've seen countless examples of the strategy of using facts fail, and there is a well known study showing that facts entrench people to their wrong positions. They needed to use emotional appeals and distortion to fight the emotional appeal and distortion from the FORers. Hopefully they take the lessons from this beating back to the repeal campaigns. They'd do good to find a sympathetic straight or gay couple affected by the law and file a lawsuit.
5/9/2012 11:06:48 AM
its all about the pebble in my shoe^i mean thats the thing. When you get your ass beat you go back and watch the tape and learn from it.Moron put it far more eloquently and less abrasively than I have but thats all im trying to say guys! 5/9/2012 11:23:53 AM
well i mean not him literally someone that will be outspoken about issues that will go there and raise hell.al sharpton has out lived his usefulness, whereas homosexuals have a fight going on right now
5/9/2012 11:26:09 AM
I don't really know what other strategy they could have used though. The demographics were not on their side when you look at religious affiliation. It was always going to be an uphill battle, almost futile. Mobilizing the supporters was their only weapon. Not many people were going to change their minds on the issue. It came down to a matter of which side sent more people to the polls and since it came down to a simple numbers game, the amendment was always going to pass. Their only other strategy would have been to get people to who voted FOR to stay home. Ya'll aren't really taking into account how incredibly organized the religious effort behind this amendment was. They were never going to let it fail.
