A non owner policy would keep you covered, it's just a different rating scheme since you don't have a car atm. Whose policy are you also listed on as a driver?

My parent's since I'm driving their extra vehicle

I'd check with your agent, but I'd think that if you are rated on that policy, it should serve as continuous coverage for you so you don't have to pay for additional coverage on a separate policy.

Been driving for 16 years and no issues. Had a minor fender bender in May of this year and had just switched in April to Farm Bureau. I assume the damage to fix the other car was under $2500 (no damage to mine). I renew in Sept., should I expect an increase?.

^^ what she was saying is that there isn't a set discount that you'd experience, just a different (better) rating factor due to you being classified in a more experienced driving category^ if you were at fault and the loss was under 1800, and if you don't have another accident then it shouldn't change as a result of the accident. Over 1800 and at fault, then yes you will. Not at fault, shouldn't be a change due to the accident[Edited on July 19, 2012 at 3:53 PM. Reason : ^ also if at fault, you won't qualify for safe driver discount, so that'll cause an increase]

I was out of town (my car at home) when Fayetteville was hit with that hail storm a couple of weeks ago. I didn't notice any damage at first, but now that I have had opportunity to wash my car and take a closer look, I have found quite a few small dings on the hood/trunk/fenders. My parents have always preached to avoid claiming minor things in order to keep premiums low, but I'm sure my car will have lower resale value if this is not taken care of, not to mention the fact that even though these are all very minor dings, it will bother me if not taken care of. What would be your advice in this situation, and do you know if the PDR folks are able to properly level dents that are probably less than 1/16" deep?

If you check page 1 after your first post about hail damage, essentially same answer applies. As to the effectiveness of the repair, don't know.[Edited on July 20, 2012 at 2:55 PM. Reason : derp fix]
