Was expecting a better effort out of you sorry fucks who were too poor to go the game, piss poor showing-4/10 armchair analysis ITT

And the aftermath ...
10/7/2012 1:09:10 PM
While watching the play full speed, I didn't think it was unnecessary roughness on the TD catch. And looking at that pic, he was trying to knock the ball out. And he almost did. Its a good play and I don't know how they can call it a penalty.
10/7/2012 1:11:49 PM
because the ball had crossed the goal line and the play was already over.
10/7/2012 1:12:51 PM
If he hits him, knocks the ball loose and it hits the ground, game over FSU wins. Even if he did come down with 2 feet, he still has to maintain control.
10/7/2012 1:15:39 PM
not once he has possession of the ball in the end zone. play over, its a touchdown. its not like he was going to the ground and having to maintain the catch.]
10/7/2012 1:17:12 PM
it was unnecessary roughness because he came in high and hit his helmet a little bit.remember, they don't allow hits like they used to
10/7/2012 1:17:35 PM
Unless you're Calvin Johnson and you're playing the Bears
10/7/2012 1:17:56 PM
Yeah, you only have to maintain control if you're going to the ground. That was a td as soon as he had control and one foot down. The FSU player basically launched himself after the play.[Edited on October 7, 2012 at 1:21 PM. Reason : .]

who cares about game analysis, the real story here is Jake. He's going to be huge for recruiting
10/7/2012 1:21:45 PM
I'm talking about live speed on the field, not slow mo replay. If Underwood drops the ball, its not a touchdown and not a penalty. And also I guess the obvious argument of rule changes are making the game weak. It's football stupid rules making it seem more like soccer. Oh not lets not hit anybody hard, the might get hurt. Oh then don't play the game. What's next, someone might get hurt in boxing. Change the rules so nobody gets hurt. As my high school coach said, "football is a series of violent collisions." If you are scared, don't play. [Edited on October 7, 2012 at 1:30 PM. Reason : ]
10/7/2012 1:27:32 PM
no its about it being in the end zone. what you are saying would be legitimate at the 1 yard line, but because it was in the end zone the play was over before homeboy even tried to hit underwood.
10/7/2012 1:29:22 PM
I get that the endzone is what is making the difference here. But if the ball comes out, its called incomplete, gets reviewed and overturned to TD. And there is no penalty. You're right about the endzone, but why should he not try to make a play and try to knock the ball out just because he is in the endzone?
10/7/2012 1:32:06 PM
oh shit, someone is swinging some heavy dick up in this thread.
10/7/2012 1:32:26 PM
And I'm not saying for sure that hypo would have happened. But if it did happen, it would be an acceptable series of events.
10/7/2012 1:40:28 PM
he clearly already had control of the ballcomplete passdoesn't fucking matter if it got knocked loose afterit was a late hit
10/7/2012 1:42:54 PM
Why do people do thesehttp://youtu.be/vfZxFDSDsGE
10/7/2012 1:43:04 PM
^ haha, I don't understand that either - I can never make it more than 5-10 seconds into any of them
10/7/2012 1:45:24 PM
^^^ With that much anger in your post, I guess you are right. Still doesn't change the fact that the rules are bitch rules. Let the defensive player hit the offensive player and try to make a play.
10/7/2012 1:48:40 PM
No anger - I'm just being condescending because you're an idiot.Yes, let's let the defensive player try to make a play. Let's say we give the defense 60 seconds to make the play after the offense is in the endzone. That'll make it fun, right? Despite it not making any sense.
10/7/2012 1:53:07 PM
mdmurphy919 trying to argue something that isn't arguableit's as cut-and-dry as it gets with no gray area

good god that thing is 23 minutes. who in the hell would watch this?I left my thoughts in the comments.[Edited on October 7, 2012 at 2:01 PM. Reason : a]
10/7/2012 1:57:30 PM
^^^Are you serious?! You are saying 60 seconds is the same as someone that was running towards the play and got there at most 2 steps late? I'm not sure if you are being condescending again or actually think that you are being funny. And I do wonder where I look like an idiot? The part where I said I was wrong about something? Or the part where I think a play that would have been legal back in the day, saying it should be legal now?^^ What am I arguing? I'm saying it should have been a clean hit. And minus the recent rule changes it would have been. [Edited on October 7, 2012 at 2:01 PM. Reason : ]
10/7/2012 1:59:39 PM
come on guys, petty arguments like this are for game threads after we LOSE the game
10/7/2012 2:01:54 PM
I'm fine with it not being called a penalty, but the play was over - he could have knocked the ball out and it still wouldn't have mattered.Argue that the game is pussified all you want, but there is no legitimate reason to hit the player at that point.
10/7/2012 2:01:59 PM
it's not a new fucking ruleyou've never been allowed to launch yourself into a receiver after a play is over
10/7/2012 2:02:31 PM
10/7/2012 2:04:46 PM
^^^Ok so we are on the same page here. I did acknowledge that I was wrong at first and just saying a no call should have happened. ^^ Never? That is an all encompassing word you use. I'm not saying its brand new. I'm saying 10 or even 5 years ago, that flag wasn't even though of being thrown. It wasn't called a late hit, it was called unnecessary roughness. That means the late part wasn't the problem, it means he hit him too hard. GTFO.[Edited on October 7, 2012 at 2:06 PM. Reason : ]

10/7/2012 2:09:05 PM
oh my god guys you have to watch the video this is hysterical. he's already spent 5 minutes talking about how undisciplined the FSU marching band is because they talk to friends and family during the game!!hhahaahaa this is too much
10/7/2012 2:09:24 PM
^^^ Probably called that way because it was after the play - They would have let him get away with some contact given he was at least already running towards Underwood, but he straight sent him flying 2 yards^ lmao - dude, that video has been deleted already[Edited on October 7, 2012 at 2:11 PM. lmao, I just saw this on a youtube clip:
10/7/2012 2:13:29 PM
ITT there are no penalties that could possibly overlap in enforcement, and nothing done on the field could possibly result in more than one type of infraction.
10/7/2012 2:13:33 PM
10/7/2012 2:15:10 PM
^^ Oh and I quit caring. I though it should have been no call. Really doesn't matter. We got the W!
10/7/2012 2:16:20 PM
whoops i think my comments got him to remove the videodammit it was just getting good too. he was 15 minutes into criticizing the band for eating ice cream. He knows its hot out there because he was in the marching band and graduated in 1997 so he's been there but "you're there to do a job!" and your job is not to entertain friends and family. The old band director had more discipline he would have guys walk up and down reminding the band not to lean on the rails. That was one of the funniest videos ever. 23 minutes. the first 2 minutes about football, the next 21 ranting about the band. He's like Shaq criticizing Dwight Howard. You had your time in the band buddy! Move on![Edited on October 7, 2012 at 2:18 PM. Reason : a]

they'll be a highlights vid just as soon as I can figure out how to get premiere pro to read a fucking ac3 audio codec
10/7/2012 2:17:36 PM
FSU player removed his helmet after the PAT to bitch at officials and wasn't flagged for it, so they would/should have had a 15 yard penalty on the kickoff regardless.
10/7/2012 2:24:24 PM
^ whoa buddy, calm down, we aren't all computer geniuses here

All of this "ruined the ACC" shit makes me sick. Two things.First, if FSU had gone undefeated this year and made it to the title game, it would have been an absolute farce and only because of the ACC's relative weakness. If FSU was THAT GOOD, they would not have lost to us. We outplayed them, period, and they lost. That means that they aren't as good as advertised and shouldn't have been in the title game (or in consideration for the title game) anyway. A true national title contender doesn't lose a game on the road just because the home team decides they want to play above their expected level. A true national title contender can hold on to a 16 point lead when the heat is turned up and not fold over like pussies as the Seminoles did last night.Secondly, overall, this is why the BCS system sucks dick. In the NFL, if a team goes 15-1 or whatever and loses just one bad road game, they can still win the Super Bowl by winning the playoffs. But if Bama loses to Southeast Vermont State tomorrow, they likely have no shot at making it to the title game. So, if you're pissed that State brought their A-game and took out FSU at home, you should complain about the BCS system. Not about the team that played their hearts out for a big, primetime win.Go Pack. I'm glad we stripped their title chances. In fact I hope they don't lose another game all year, just to make it hurt that much more.
10/7/2012 5:15:08 PM
FSU wasn't going to the National championship game anyway. We just saved FSU the embarrassment of having Florida cost them a title shot.
10/7/2012 5:46:58 PM
such a great game...
10/7/2012 5:55:30 PM
this is amazing to me: RT @jwgiglio NC State, UNC & Duke have won ACC football games on same day 4 times: Saturday, 10/15/94, 9/21/63 & 9/28/57[Edited on October 7, 2012 at 6:28 PM. Reason : I mean I know we've all sucked, but only 4 times EVER?]

Help me rememberIn 2002 we papered camps and rushed the bell tower. I'm pretty sure at least one of these was for a football game, but I can't remember which one. Was it beating Clemson and going 9-0?
10/7/2012 6:29:21 PM
^ Yeah, that one. The car radio station ID tag for WKNC read "9-0!!!" that week.
10/7/2012 6:34:48 PM
yes, that would have been it.

except that whole he was hit in stride and wasn't going to the ground thing
