4I took a quick look at the state of NC recruit rankings and lol it got absolutely raided by the SEC. Not really a surprise because that pretty much always happens, but oof. UNC with two in the top 20. NC State with one in the top 25.

Seems like a classic Doeren recruiting class. No 4 star + guys, a bunch of 3 stars and a QB who will never see the field. Not many linemen on either side of the ball, so i fully expect that to be where we focus in the portal (depending on who leaves unexpectedly, obviously)

Edit: oh I see this QB recruit is also going to play baseball. Also tore his ACL as a junior. Also looked up his stats on max preps and uhh he did not have a good senior year. I'm honestly not sure how this guy was a D1 recruit.

I think the optimistic spin is that he committed early then got hurt. And I guess we honored his scholarship/commitment. But yeah not great! Also signed a 3* qb from Utah. He had some offers from some pac12 west coast teams. Idk if he’s any good. Sweetwyne is a kinda cool name tough.

Oh hey we signed another mid QB! This time we stole a guy from mormonland!

He does profile as an intriguing prospect, especially compared to the NC dude. Very much a dual threat guy, although he threw a lot of picks in HS. At least he completed > 50% of his passes!

He was bad before he got hurt! And after! Completing 47% of your passes for 94 yards/game with 9 TDs and 6 INTs as senior alleged division 1 prospect is really, really bad!
