Not just call it in, but man the gunner's position of it...

Hopefully they'll have replaced the headshot-people-through-walls-and-there's-not-much-they-can-do-about-it helicopter. It was easy to take out with some sustained fire, especially with team help, but that thing was too accurate/damaging for what it was.

I never minded the helicopter. My biggest issue was not getting many points when you brought it down.

I also did not like how even when in ghille the helicopter still magically finds you. Sure you could argue that it has IR but from a gameplay balance point of view; snipers should be invisible unless they are moving or fire their weapon.

Dear TWW gaming experts,

I'm confused about this 'hardened' edition and 'limited' edition. I just want to play multiplayer, which one will get me there?

ALSO, why does PS3 always get pooed on? Will it have this special kit as well? and what the heck do the goggles have to do with anything anyway? noone ever used nightvision in COD modern warfare 1 anyway.

Last question... is there some sort of beta version i can get a hold of?

Nightvision goggles are pretty bad ass whether or not you use them in MP. lol.

The cheapest version is just the game, next cheapest has a book of art no one cares about and is in a hardened case, final one has all of the stuff in the other ones some more dumb artwork and info and some bad ass NV goggles.

I never really understood the concept of limited editions for video games. Why would you pay so much more money for all the uesless crap, though having real NV goggles is pretty fucking badass and i'd probably wear them everytime i went anywhere at night.

If you preorder it there will probably be a MP demo coming out in september late or early october, which MAY be extended to everyone towards the game's release. Thats what has happened with the last two games IIRC

ps3 isn't getting "pooed on" at all. This video just so happened to use the xbox version as their example. PS3 will have the same harden and prestige editions as the xbox.

I might be mistaken (haven't played COD4 in a while) but I want to say if you are in a ghillie suit in a grass area and don't move while the chopper is near, he won't see you and won't shoot you...but if you are even crawling around he'll see the movement and shoot you...might be wrong but thats how I remember it

So, I just noticed the new screen effect for heavy injury after watching that second multiplayer gameplay video... blood splatter effect on the screen. Looks better than the injury effect in any shooter I've ever seen.

Also, pretty much everything in the multiplayer looks better than any shooter I've ever seen. It looks like Infinity Ward really set out with the goal of making the greatest shooter ever, with the means and ability to make it happen.


The only possible way this game could fail to be absolutely fucking incredible is if they end up putting too much stuff in it.

This is old, but I just got wind of the NVG offer (been training for months, limited internets)
I want to know if IW contacted the military to make sure the offered NVGs...
A) Suck. So when there are a bizillion ordered in countries, idk, like Iran and Syria, that they cant be used against us effectivly, and..
B) make sure the offered NVGs do not pick up our IR designators and other IR optic devices.

Anyone esle thinking this or just me? Plus I would have killed for these when I was little, but now I have the real deal so i dont care too much.

the host fix is more than welcome...

i just hope they fix the POS party system... seriously, just copy halo, nobody will mind. it's one of the few things that i still prefer in the halo vs cod argument, that, and halo's vehicles can be pretty freakin fun sometimes..
oh yeah, and splitscreen system link/local co-op games for up to 4 on a box.

stoked for some of the guns in the latest trailer. flag games look like fun too
