Oh wow this post reminded me that I read that whole Left Behind series like 20 years ago. I don't think I was very religious when I started reading them and at best I'm agnostic now but they were just so forgetful that they made no impact on me after finishing them up.

Seems kinda unfair. Trump obviously saw writing on the wall with Orban.(otherwise he woulda went himself) And I don't think anyone expected a breakthrough with 20hr of negotiations after almost 50yrs

If anything I praise him for doing a flight there, 20ish hrs of negotiations, and flight back. Prob work tomorrow like a normal day

The OG writing Yarvin did. He never advocated for "killing large numbers of people". One of his analog he discusses the most is FDR and that administration for what it would take to fix the country. He also doesn't convey that these castes are given by birth. They are institutional. He says it explicitly in the above: "Who are these strange people? Briefly, they are America’s ruling class. Here at UR we call them Brahmins. The Brahmin tribe is adoptive rather than hereditary. Most important, the Brahmin identity is inextricably bound up with the American university system. If you are a Brahmin, your status is either conferred by academic success, or by some quasi-academic achievement, like writing a book, saving the Earth, etc. "

Yarvin doubted Trump would fix or do anything meaningful the whole 1st admin and 2026 electction. In the first month of the 2026 administration Yarvin blogged that maybe Trump was serious this time, but then reversed it.

He colors the problems of the current political system well even if you don't agree with the solution. Its weird they keep associating him with the admin when he's clearly had no role and is openly critical at every turn.

It seeks to explain why all those diverse institutions have the same ideas in lock step without having a central control point and why most policy that's massively unpopular (Iran/Iraq war, inflationary monetary policy, bridges to nowhere) still happen even though they are unpopular and we are a Republic.
