The unemployment rate was 4.6% in 2007. It's hovering around 10% right now.Do you REALLY believe that in a 4 year span, millions of people suddenly became too lazy to work?[Edited on November 16, 2011 at 11:27 AM. Reason : don't be stupid. ]

I'm just laughing hysterically in your face that you seriously believe that unemployment is up to 10% simply because of 'corporate greed' and not wanting to hire.awe you called me stupid cute. i like the videos when peter schiff and others go out to interview the OWSers and all they do is say "fuck you" and try to talk louder when they get their shitty logic owned beyond belief because they have no leg to stand on or any idea what it is they want to accomplish.[Edited on November 16, 2011 at 11:31 AM. lol at 400 = 1% of 400,000,000holy shit. i guess this is the product of teachers not spoon-feeding basic math on you. HAAAAa true "top 1%" would be around 1 in every 100 people or 4,000,000 people in the united states is the "vile enemy" of your cause. do you really believe that 4Mill people are genuinely responsible for your 'shitty life' ? oh about 89% of the world would trade places with you instantly, because they see the possibilities here for a great life are better than anywhere on earth.but yeh. i guess you guys have secret plans somewhere for a recession proof society model based on socialistic principles where magically the unemployment rate never gets above 1%. lololol holy shit. this almost too funny at this point.[Edited on November 16, 2011 at 11:39 AM. i can't wait to see this master plan OWS has in place to eliminate all the problems they complain about. <edit> they already did, it's called they want to raise taxes across the board on the 53% who already pay them so they can bum more off them than they already do.^the only people yawning are 99.9999999999992378% of the world laughing at you on national and international news every night wondering why you continue begging for tear gas for b&e's, child rape, drug trafficking and squatting on private property[Edited on November 16, 2011 at 1:28 PM. To BobbyD and EMCE, I do agree with an underlying principle or two of what OWS is supposed to be protesting even though it'd severely damage my livelihood.. But what's going on in Zucotti Park is NOT that. It's a conglomeration of people who have no identity and are "protesting" for their own self-serving purpose... And that is why I mock it...

First hand accounts from people I know and trust, interviews, articles, etc..
11/16/2011 2:20:31 PM
ah so a bunch of second hand accounts and the mediayou do realize this is probably one of the most well-documented (primary sources) protests of all time? so why is it that i, who have been involved in events in person, and who has participated in a few cities' online procedures (reading through the working groups and general discussions) have such a discordant opinion with your own, a guy who gets the information on this highly controversial topic canned and delivered to him?
11/16/2011 2:23:05 PM
You've been to Zucotti Park I trust? Since you don't trust secondhand accounts or media I assume you have in order to comment on it. Please tell me how it really is.. I'm genuinely interested from someone with firsthand experience..
11/16/2011 2:28:16 PM
no i haven't been in zucotti parkthe only things i've seen from zucotti park are live feeds, and i've watched hours of them. we have zucotti park protestors and some organizers who ended up with us here in pittsburgh. the situations are different and OWS protestors are different probably depending on the city.the online proceedings of the NYC contingent are online and yes, i've been through god knows how much of it. what it reveals is that there are a lot of people out there for lots of reasons (kind of like in Pittsburgh), and it's actually quite far from the bogus reality you've painted about people who don't know why they're out there. plenty of them don't know the precise mechanisms and explanations economically speaking but then again, neither do you.the fact of the matter is, many of the underlying positions and attitudes of OWS have been crystal-clear since day one and your bullshit opinions are obviously just that: crafted from second-hand sources and carefully created media narratives. is this really how you go about getting your information?and no, i don't have to be in zucotti park to post about OWS first hand, because it's a nation(world?)-wide movement. one of the top-10 largest OWS kick-off protests was in my city; there is a shitload of philosophical and political cross-pollination between OWS events and groups affiliated with them. your attempts to talk about them as some unified movement which you've gotten inside the head of is nothing less than ridiculous[Edited on November 16, 2011 at 2:33 PM. 11/16/2011 2:33:24 PM
and look i don't even give a fuck about your face-saving or any flimsy trolls you might want to throw at me. clean up your fucking act and learn something already. you're already on the internet: why not sum out the rest of the time you'd spent pontificating about OWS, and read a bit of the online discussions which are unfiltered and FREELY AVAILABLE TO YOU
11/16/2011 2:34:34 PM
seriously just open up a live feed or any of the (now) hundreds of hours of documentary footage from Zucotti Park specifically, and try and catch a general assembly or something like that. you don't need to be physically fucking present to watch and understand an event, free from commentary or biased framing.holy fuck alreadyjust the other morning after all of the eviction madness, there was a live feed set up where one of the emergency general assemblies was shown nearly in entirety. there's a lot you can do to actually educate yourself on the matter, but instead you want to trust your chucklehead friends and some news casters owned by corporations. lol.[Edited on November 16, 2011 at 2:37 PM. so do you even care about having correct opinions, or
11/16/2011 2:38:21 PM
look there are plenty of clueless idiots in the OWS movement, we have tons of them here in pittsburgh. plenty of them probably think exactly what you do. god knows there are a boat load of idiot libertarians and financial primitivists crowing for an end to modern banking and a return to brutal feudalism.that's beside the point. your attempts to simply write off a group of people based on framed tales is hilarious and shows just how little credibility to attach to any of your opinions. this is how low your standards are.

Hey man, I work in the corporate world too. I, too, would have much to lose if a bunch of lazy hippies managed to destroy the structure of America. The the thing is.... That isn't what OWS is doing. Are there problems, violence, etc within the protests? Sure. The same can be said for any large group of people.A woman was raped in America. This must mean Americans are wrong in general.Does that sound off to you?All I'm saying is, I dont see how anyone can paint the entire movement as lazy hippies who dont want to work. Its not true. Haha, I saw an article in CNN titled "Explain it to me: Occupy Wall Street". It was about lazy hippies, basically. That example, if anything, should give you pause for thought.
11/16/2011 2:59:39 PM
Charles Eisenstein, modern day Jesus, thinks we should be pretty damn ambitious:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ldeqY6O0LV0^ I've been trying to tell people that there are two different people at OWS. The pragmatists that think we can make a few small changes to our current system fix many of our "problems" and those I would call Dreamers that want to scrap our entire system and come up with something different. These dreamers can easily be mistaken for lazy, out there, hippies; the reality is their beliefs are way more complicated than that. I'd say a majority of OWSers falls in the former category of pragmatists, even though the latter is pretty vocal. What both agree on is that our current system has problems that need to be addressed.[Edited on November 16, 2011 at 3:18 PM. Reason : .][Edited on November 16, 2011 at 3:21 PM.
