But we missed layups and didn’t rebound and fouled way too fucking much. Don’t enjoy shitting on the team and players but I’m glad I don’t have to watch this team again this year. A very not fun team

Yeah it was pretty blatant. Refs are never gonna call that. They’ll use the excuse of checking the time to say there was a stoppage.

There was a conference championship game that the bench ran onto the court after the game winning(? Tying? I dont remember) basket but there were 0.3 seconds left on the clock. The refs didn't call a technical foul and awarded a timeout to the other team instead. Refs are never going to call that if they don't actually interfere with the play.

I mean unless you like run into the guy they aren't going to call it. You're asking an awful lot of guys who are thinking about basketball and not nefarious plans to get a technical foul called on the other team in the span of like 2 seconds.

Maybe nefarious is the wrong word, but it's insane to think that the players should have the wherewithal to inbounds the ball there and run into the coach in less than a second rather than call a timeout and also that the coach wouldn't call timeout to set up a play, thus preventing said insane scenario. You're overthinking this as well.
