oh im backok no really...i never said it was ok to charge people a lot for lack of knowledge in a certain area. But at best buy, items such as computers, actually cost the company money. We like to keep our prices lower for the customer. But in order for best buy to function as a company, they have to make money somehow, right? So they charge customers on the services, unless you buy the service plan. Services are pretty much 100% money in best buys pocket. If it werent for these, then the prices for the merchandise would be a lot higher. But end of argument. For those of you that hate best buy, I'm sorry you had a bad experience. And for those who like to shop there, Im happy for you as well. I find it to be a good company. We'll agree to disagree

I could write a full essay about why Best Buy is horrible to shop at and work for. It seems like most of it was covered on the first 4 pages though. The discount is the only good perk of working there, they are such jews about how you use it that that is even gay. I finally found a job that paid way more and just started buying my electronics online.

I somehow doubt hundreds of thousands.And I think you underestimate just how much the typical person loves Best Buy. You must realize that most people know diddly squat and even someone who knows next to nothing still (typical best Buy associate) knows WAY more than the average person. Because of this, the average person LOVES the "help" they get at Best Buy.You're right that a tech geek that goes in to Best Buy is going to get annoyed, but this is the cost of catering to the masses. It's impossible for a single store to be able to help both tech nerds and the average person.If you've had people "force" the service plan on you, then you should definitely write the manager of the store. Best Buy has a feedback site if you buy stuff, at bestbuycares.com that's printed on the bottom of your receipt (you need a receipt to access it though).

i "admit" it, i bought my laptop at bestbuy.had it been a desktop, i would have definitely built it myself... but since i have very little laptop hardware experience (besides wireless networking haha), i though i got myself a pretty good deal [at first]BUT, i did end up going to 3 different stores and still not getting the one I wanted, even though 2 of those 3 stores told me on the phone that they had the model i wanted IN THEIR HAND.also, here in the greensboro area, best buys are not a dime a dozen. my "neighborhood" bestbuy is 20 minutes away, then theres one in winston salem, and one in burlington. it ended up being a pain in the ass and i should have gone somewhere else, but it became a matter of principle (and telling management on the kids who lied to me just to get me off the phone)im sure there are tons of stories similar to mine, where no one really got ripped off or anything, just lied to and had their time wasted. but time is money bitches
