I think I know what you're trying to say with that, but it could also be interpreted as "they couldn't hack it at UNC and had to transfer to NCSU"

I seem to remember some post on IC a while back (the '08 NCSU/UNC football game?) in which a Carolina fan was complaining that intentional batting-down of a pass shouldn't be allowed. It may have actually been intentional interceptions, but that makes even less sense, so I'm going to go with the first thing I said.

I have a friend that got rejected to ECU and NCSU but got into UNC

I had a full ride to UNC to play bass in the jazz band but I turned it down to come to NCSU and suffer through engineering
