The blanks are replaceable, though it's not the quickest job. Few other corvette guys keep two sets of rotor hats so they can swap the rotors at the track if need be, and replace the rings at home when they've got more time. That's more than I intend to do, but it's good to know that others have gone down this path with good results. Replacements come with all new hardware.

Yeah, but how do you remove those bolts? The bolt heads don’t look like they enjoy being taken off...

Well... I'd probably drill the first set out and replace them with equivalent hardware the next go around. That's part of what I do at work anyways so it's a trivial task.

Shame. BTW, my two piece (GiroDisc) rotors on the GT3 were attached w/reusable bolts but
they recommended replacements and the blanks came with the hardware. Anyway, the big problem
for me is how much the replacement rings cost, over $300 a pop. I want to put some huge brakes on
the M3, but that replacement cost... I don’t like. How much power does yours make? I need real
brakes too :/

Changed the oil.
Then changed the cabin air filter. It had been in for 100k miles, and it was nasty.

161k on the Insight, and still have NOT done anything other than scheduled maintenance and consumables (and even then, well over 100k on front brakes. Still on original rears!)

I dunno what auto makers are doing with brakes these days, because that's apparently not uncommon anymore.

My parents' 2008 Volvo wagon has 108k miles and is still on the original front pads (and rotors obviously).

I had a 2003 911 Carrera 4S, hand’t gotten a brake job yet with about 45k miles on it. That was
understandable though, bigger brakes from the turbo, with much less power + an easy
driver = long brake life... 100+k miles on a hybrid, well that’s understandable too, considering the
brake regeneration!

My car... Intake manifold conversion and boost hose re-routing complete. Adjusted the meth injection
to engage at around 8 PSI and increase output to max by 14 PSI. Anyway, with bigger manifold, max
boost had dropped a couple of PSI, so I turned it back up. Finally now at around 15.5 @the manifold,
the car feels properly fast.

The nice thing is, all the performance mods are. This is busted, I can either buy another factory price for $$$$ or a performance aftermarket for $$$ guess I'm getting a 1000 up driveshaft

Insight:

engine oil and filter
air filter
cabin air filter
coolant
topped off wiper fluid/tailgater spray

yawn...166k miles today. still nothing but scheduled maintenance and consumables (and it barely even uses consumables)

took off my HKS blow valve sound insert so now it wooshes instead of whistles.

Funny thing is that it makes the BOV response really evident. What used to seem like one high-pitched sound was actually a combination of two sounds. I hope the anti-surge housing takes car of the first sound

Driver's side A/C started blowing hot (while the passenger side is still cold) more frequently. First happened over a year ago. Finally got around to yanking the blend door actuator out and ordering one. Probably a pretty easy job on a truck with bench seats, but it was a bitch on mine with the bucket seats and center console. I hope the passenger side actuator holds out. Whole dash has to come apart to get to that one.

Civic is getting a suspension overhaul. Bushings/bearings/tie rods/ball joints... New Coilovers, strut mounts, EVERYTHING suspension wise is going to be new after tomorrow.

Overhauled the fuel system a bit. I have the plans for my dual pump set up still in progress but the high output main fuel pump had not been installed all the way into the sump, hence the fuel starvation in long, sustained and hard right hand turns. It never ceases to amaze me the level of skimping a super high dollar build can still have in spots. :/

100,000 certain % chance. But still, this thing has records costing embarrassingly high $$, you’d think a “speed shop” would install a fuel pump properly. A high dollar, high output one at that. Ran it down to the fuel light taking long sweepers, still no starvation...

I have never had a problem w/that on street tires on an e36 M3. In comparison, they starve for fuel below 1/3rd tank on sticky tires on long right handers (usually on track).

Within the past month on the MR2, in somewhat chronological order

Trans flush with MT90 (shifting keeps getting better. Can finally get it into 2nd quickly without much trouble above 5krpm)

Tightened a bunch of loose bolts

Oil change with full synthetic

Koni yellow inserts all around (existing struts were B L O W N)

Diagnosed oil leaks (distributor seals, valve cover gaskets)

Patched a big ol rust hole in the driver's side floor board

Did some interior boosh, re-upholstered center arm rest, air freshener delete

3d printed some boss ass lug nut caps in matching body color

Fixed antenna aerial and 3d printed a sweet mercury capsule shaped end cap. Can finally listen to radio. Speakers are shit, but it's a nice modern bluetooth head unit so I can do hands-free calls.

Fixed some various vacuum leaks left by whomever did the EGR delete

Had some exhaust leaks welded up, toyed with the idea of throwing on this old Super Trapp

Compression check ~200 psi all round

New plugs

Washer fluid (one jet sprays completely over the car when it's not moving. haha)

Painted bumpers, trim, and lower 12" of car in black plasti dip spray

Located the source of the exhaust leak on the Integra. A crack where the resonator ends. Not horrible I suppose, given this Greddy catback system is 15 years old and has almost 200k miles on it.
