i sorta overlooked the year part, but they can last a while if the blood clots under the skin.

Possibly genital warts in the mouth. It could be a vein, though.

Could be just a fluid build up, I had one on the inside of my lip. It was there for like half a year and then it went away. Doc said I would be fine.

^ If you're sure you haven't had warty oral, then it's probably a vein that may have to be excised.

Could be a chancre sore from irritation or blood blister. Do you eat or drink lots of citrus? Some people get chancre sores when they eat/drink lots of high acid stuff.

Unless you've been drinking large amounts of OJ for a year. Does it hurt at all? Is it solid or swishy and kind of soft?

If it's more solid and it doesn't hurt/sting it could be deep scar tissue. It could also be a benign tumor. Either way, mention it to the doctor next time you get a checkup. In the mean time, buy some vitamin E suppliment gel tabs and some q-tips from the grocery store. Break them open and put the juice on one of the q-tips and apply it to the... thing. Since it's not a chancre, then that probably won't help but it's cheap so why not give it a try.

From what I see in that picture, it is definitely NOT oral HPV. Oral warts are not purplish, but more fleshy colored. If you do not believe me, you can google up some pictures.

I don't have any clue as to what that purple spot it. If it hadn't been there so long, I'd go with a bruise or blood blister.

Are you joking? TWW isn't going to give you a diagnosis - go see a dermatologist & if it's symptomatic of something else, they'll know where to refer you.

In the meantime you could rub mederma or vit E on it. That is, if you think it might be a scar. Probably would do nothing to a vein.
