a few years ago I was caught up in something like this with BofA. An employee at a hotel in the bahamas stole my card # and ran up a ton of charges at some casino. I called bullshit, they were like no way, I proved it wasn't me because I was back in the US at the time of the charges. BofA gave me a bit more of a runaround, I threatened to sue, and they fixed everything. I no longer bank with BofA.

Yeah, why the hell a major corp would go to lengths to argue this is stupid.

All the fraudulent charges I got while with BoA were from BoA so you can guess how much of that I got back. Such a load off when I switched to ncsecu

^ no joke - I used to have to go in there at least once a month to have them remove overdraft fees that should have never been charged

yep. especially their habit of taking the biggest out first so that you'd get multiple overdrafts on the small charges instead of one overdraft on the big charge. I actually had one of the managers at the BoA at Crabtree threaten to call security on me because I "was getting belligerent." You're god-damned right I was angry, that was the same visit that they informed me they were charging me to come inside and talk to a teller, but I tell you what I got all but one of those charges taken off, paid off my BoA credit card later that week and bounced.I actually got some postcard in the mail about a class-action lawsuit against them for that overdraft practice, something about I was already included unless I decided to opt-out. Haven't heard anything since though, that was probably over a year ago.
