FYI, Raleigh PD was setting up a checkpoint at Avent Ferry/Trailwood when I drove by this evening (~10:45pm).You shouldn't be drinking and driving, but regardless, avoid the hassle and find a different way home.http://maps.google.com/maps?q=Avent+Ferry+Road+and+trailwood,+Raleigh,+NC&hl=en&sll=37.0625,-95.677068&sspn=46.946584,68.291016&t=h&hnear=Avent+Ferry+Rd+%26+Trailwood+Dr,+Raleigh,+Wake,+North+Carolina+27606&z=16

It's no hassle if you haven't been drinking...

To me, having to stop in a line full of cars instead of just getting to where I'm going is a hassle to me...[Edited on April 14, 2012 at 11:40 PM. Reason : it's LESS of a hassle if you haven't been drinking]

Its always a hassle. Anytime you take a road where ~15 cars/minute are stopped and questioned, its a hassle.Checkpoints are protected by the Supreme Court, I'm not going to get into that argument. So is the right of people to inform other people to avoid this hassle.

at least checkpoints in raleigh have ways to get around them. checkpoints here at the beach usually don't, like the one the other day on my way home at like 4PM.
