never seen it, but we like torchwood (yes we started with the new version, but are halfway through all the originals on netflix), which I was told was a spin off

I'm watching Dr. Who right now, (the new ones) and on season 4. I'm gonna watch torchwood after, I was liking Dr. Who up until the episode about Pompeii, and the DR. saves Calculus!!! It's his fault I had to endure all that pain and suffering.

Dr. Who just seems like a cheesy show the brits put together.....I watched 4 seasons until the last to newest guy is on it...DO NOT LIKE

^It wont be terrible to watch out of order, but there are some potential spoilers if you watch the finale from Doctor Who S4 before you finish S2 of Torchwood. That being said, there are some terrible episodes of Torchwood...theres bound to be a list out there of essential episodes that would allow you to skip all the crap though.

I just finished season 6 of the revival on Netflix. I'm downloading all the originals now.

The Tom Baker Years were the best. Still cheesy, it has always been cheesy.

Dr who is the worst thing I've ever seen

We all have our own opinions. It took me a few episodes of the revival to really start liking it, but I was completely hooked after watching The Empty Child.

Blink is probably the best episode

^agreed, and it is worth mentioning that the same writer (Steven Moffat) also wrote The Empty Child. He writes all the super dark episodes (Girl in the Fireplace, Silence in the Library). Now he's the head writer so I'm only expecting more of that kind of stuff...which makes me He also is a co-creator of Sherlock which is also a phenomenal series.
