Why do you insist on riding your fucking bike on busy, hilly roads?Get a car ya bums. Or get a stationary bike.
4/29/2012 6:49:48 PM
NATURE IS MORE EXCITING. It's hard to get chased by a dog on a stationary bike, forrealz.loloh yah, and hill repeats can go to hell(I'm a triathlete)
4/29/2012 6:53:51 PM
I hate hills cuz it makes passing your slow ass difficult.
4/29/2012 6:55:44 PM
share the road, bruh
4/29/2012 6:57:05 PM
Signed
4/29/2012 6:58:22 PM
share the road, whiner
4/29/2012 6:58:28 PM
I'll race ya. Bring your bike. We're going downhill though.
4/29/2012 6:59:39 PM
4/29/2012 7:01:44 PM
^^^ I wouldn't whine if I could run your dumbass over. ^^ you'll win. My stationary bike doesn't work so well downhill.
4/29/2012 7:06:36 PM
nothing screams "this guy's an asshole" like complaining about cyclists
4/29/2012 7:22:37 PM
And why is that? What business do you have going 20 mph on a 55 mph road while holding up 20 cars behind you. It's fucking dangerous to have us dart around you, not only to you but to us as well. Not to mention its fucking inconsiderate. There are thousands of options around where a cyclist can ride their bike where the speed difference between car and cyclist is less and/or the roads are less congested. Unfoetunately for me, my options are far more limited! On the weekday I have seen this road backed up in bumper to bumper traffic for miles, and you think it's a good idea for cyclists to use this road?If these makes me an asshole, then cyclists who pull this shit are bigger assholes than me.
4/29/2012 7:29:58 PM
4/29/2012 7:31:36 PM
I'm sorry it's so inconvenient for you to have to wait an extra two minutes for an opening to pass a cyclist. For bicycle commuters, there really isn't a choice on some roads. So deal with it.Maybe if more people pressured the city we could actually have bike lanes. Also, consider this: Have you ever been stuck in rush hour traffic on I-40? Wouldn't you rather all those cars rather be cyclists who were off the highway and on other roads? The more bike-friendly the roads are, the more cyclists there will be, and the less cars there will be on the roads, which is a good thing for everyone. In summary: Stop whining.

Very few cyclists are assholes that ride right in the lane and go to the front of every red light. I see cars all the time ride right up on bikes or just about side-swipe them. A couple of times I thought about calling the cops it was so bad. I see where merbig is coming from but other drivers are a far worse irritant.
4/29/2012 8:05:30 PM
my only beef with cyclists is the ones that say they have equal rights to use the road, it's the law, etc.then they openly run red lights and break other laws because they're "just on a bike"
4/29/2012 8:10:19 PM
I'm with the OP. You have to be a real dick to ride your bike on a 35mph+ busy road during rush hour. That crap might be bearable in inner city situations where there are like 3 or 4 lanes of one way traffic going 25. But those exist in very few places in NC. The "I'm on a bike so its OK" approach to traffic laws a lot of them take is also annoying as hell.
4/29/2012 8:25:39 PM
I have no sympathy for cyclists who get hurt in this situation. There's doing what's legal and then there's doing what's dumb.I could technically drive down any street in Camden, NJ....
4/29/2012 8:58:15 PM
hey i'm gonna ride my bike during rush hour traffic and as i make this right turn, i'm gonna swing out wide left beforehand, then cuss at the car that almost hit me even though i veered into their lane]
4/29/2012 9:02:06 PM
I just don't like how they beg to be on the roads and then don't follow any rules of the road...
4/29/2012 9:03:03 PM
technically, he can ride in the middle of the lane if he wants. just has to obey traffic laws, red lights, signal and such...LOL CHIT CHAT
4/29/2012 9:04:42 PM
4/29/2012 9:11:22 PM
when gas goes to $9 per gallon, I will congest the roads with my cycle in my gay attire
4/29/2012 9:14:26 PM
I guess we'll either have to ride bikes or drive snow plows to get through all the bikes when that happens.
4/29/2012 9:18:04 PM
my ass looks good IT WILL NOT BE DISMISSED
4/29/2012 9:19:08 PM
4/29/2012 9:19:12 PM
True story...I almost hit a cyclist today, as he was blatantly ignoring traffic laws. As I essentially cut him off, he screamed out "idiot!"I almost turned my car around and shot him in the neck. True story.

Cyclists are dangerous. 99% of the idiots I see on bikes aren't commuting to work. They're in their spandex just getting in the way. If you're commuting to work, and your bike is the only way to get there, then I admire that. Just biking for the hell of it on busy roads? You're going to cause a wreck some day.And this "share the road" crap is law probably only because it's been on the books since cars were a new thing. That's just a guess, but it wouldn't surprise me.
4/29/2012 9:27:17 PM
i can't ride on the sidewalk because my suspension and tires are too dainty
4/29/2012 9:33:31 PM
bikes on the sidewalk are a danger to pedestrians[Edited on April 29, 2012 at 9:39 PM. Reason : fuck all those walkers man, they need to go somewhere else before they get hit]
4/29/2012 9:38:24 PM
i'll bet there are a lot of fatal accidents from collisions between cyclists and pedestrians, at those high speeds
4/29/2012 9:46:18 PM
My biggest thing is that they selectively choose what laws policies to follow. Can't remember how many times I've seen cyclists-Run stop lights, signs.-Pass other cars while stopped.-Fail to signal.-Cross the center line.etc,etc,etc.You assholes can't ignore all the road rules then whine about cars and how you should be on the road. Unless you're Lance Armstrong stay off the road.
4/29/2012 10:16:44 PM
^i have to agree with this sentiment
4/29/2012 10:30:57 PM
I loathe cyclists. This thread further enhances that loathing. Liberal idiots.

4/29/2012 11:51:39 PM
Cyclists like God are why people hate cyclists.

^ God was driving his 97 Civic Si once and hit a cigarette butt. Fucked his camber all to shreds. He had it in the shop for a week getting that sports tuned suspension re-tuned so he could put up some sick times at VIR. But the mechanics could never get the suspension quite right though, and he could only get within 0.1 of his fastest time. I took a crack at setting his camber again, but it only knocked another 0.001 off the time. You should have seen him. He was all torn up. Especially when an older gentleman passed him in his 95 Bimmer M3. Hell, he even had my fat ass get out of the car so he could try and pass him again. But it just didn't happen. He eventually put on some monroe shocks and a magnaflow exhaust and gained some of that time back. But the coolness factor of his car increased 10 fold with the exhaust. This guy was something special back in his day. That Si and him. It never left his sight.

i am the first to admit that my hatred for cyclists is based at least partially on the fact that i don't cycle. That being said, there is nothing more fucking annoying that a bunch of goddamned cyclists in my way.
